Something cheery (albeit a little big goofy)

I had to record a very brief video message a few weeks ago for a very special scrapbooking juggernaut of a gal (Becky Higgins), and I decided to compile a series of outtakes. My contribution to Becky was only 11 seconds long. The outtakes? So much more than that.

A little holiday cheer—and goofiness—for you.

Cathy! That was hilarious. Your Clarice Starling is dead on, as is your Holly Hunter, although that one made me spit out my spinach salad because I was laughing so hard. Merry Christmas Cathy, hope its a great one for you and your family. Looking forward to more silliness from you in 2013.

A digi shop request—I’m been searching for a 4×6 monthly calendar digital element. I’m planning to do Project life again but more loosely, with a month calendar to introduce every other spread rather than a week title card.

Does that make any sense? I’ve seen some 3×4 calendar cards, and some digital elements to make big calendars and even circle ones, but no 4×6—even though I know a lot of people switching to a more monthy style. I’d LOVE a CZ style card—maybe solid colored with white for the month/dates.

I’ll keep my eyes peeled for you to offer something—here’s hoping!

Wishing YOU the most joyous Christmas! I said that with my plain old Colorado accent with a tiny touch of MinneSOOta still coming out on occasion.

Love you Cathy Zielske. You know, if you ever decide to move to Australia – you’ll fit right in. Not taking yourself seriously is a must down here, and self deprecating humour reigns supreme.

Cathy — seriously. You. are. awesome. Merry Christmas!!

    Carmen.

P.S. Seriously didn’t know how to handle the capitalization there — is it caps for every word, or is it still one sentence with gratuitous punctuation and thus requiring no capitalization. Why do I stress over such things…. Keep hearing those j-school instructors and English lit profs in the back of my head, I guess. Anyhow, happiest of holidays to you and yours. ;)

Argh. I forgot to add a question mark after “capitalization”!! Here are some extras to hang on your tree: ?????????

Carmen (who must put a period after her signature in every message board post and blog comment, and refers to herself in the third person).

LIke a full mini calendar on a 4 x 6, but 6 x 4? I like this idea. I could put that on my list of things to do this week! (well, after Christmas, and maybe to have it done for next weekend.

Why does 6×4 sound weird? Most photos are horizontal and yet we usually say 4×6, right? I’m all confused, but yes—six in width, four in height to fit the Project Life pages.

I’m excited you might make them! Will keep checking back! I can’t wait to set up my PL album to be ready for 2013:)

HILARIOUS!!! That, my dear Cathy, made me laugh on Christmas morning, before the chaos and fun fun fun starts here when my 3 children, spouses and 2 darling granddaughters arrive.

Seriously, you keep this insanity coming and I may become your official stalker! I’ve never seen a better Clarice Starling impression! (OK, I’ve never seen a worse one either – hell-ar-i-ous!) Best wishes for 2013!

Annnddd this is why we take your classes. Not because they teach great things (because they do), not because they are packed with wonderful tips and tricks (because they are), not because you are perfect in every way (because you are), but because you are real. You are fun, witty, definitely charming, and you do not take yourself too seriously. Thank you Cathy Zielske.
