Design Your Life 2.0, my first ever live class on CZ Classes, opens for registration today! This four-week online workshop has one goal: to teach you the core principles of graphic design that you can apply to your scrapbook pages for more beautiful, timeless and well-designed results. Check out this short trailer!

How much is the class? The class is $45, with a special introductory offer of saving $5 off the price if you register before July 14. The templates, printables and cut files in this e-course are valued at $30 combined and there are 26 video lessons in the course.

What is a “live” course on CZ Classes? A live class has a set run time with a limited registration period. This is a class where lessons will arrive each week, as opposed to a self-paced class where you have access to everything at once. I will be checking in with my students daily (Monday through Friday) via our closed class Facebook group. I will also be hosting four live Facebook chats, one for each week of class.

How long will registration remain open? Registration will close July 25th at midnight.

What are the class dates? Class begins on July 14 and ends on August 11 at midnight. When you register, you’ll have immediate access to the Welcome Lesson, featuring a welcome video, PDF handout and digital package of social media sharing goodies.

Can I still access the class after it has ended? Absolutely! As with any CZ Class, you retain permanent access to any class you purchase as long as I operate this site. If this site ever closes, you will receive links to download all the classes you have purchased.

Will you be offering this class again? The short answer is yes! But I am not sure if I’m going to run it again in October or February 2018!

Is this the same class you taught back in 2008 and 2010? No. This is a brand new workshop with all new assignments. But here’s the kicker: design doesn’t change. It is a timeless, evergreen topic! I will still be talking about balance, repetition, unity, space, etc!

I took the old version of Design Your Life. Will there be an alumni discount? Yes! I am offering my alumni a special discount of $15 off the course price. All you need to do is email me directly with some proof that you took the class! I will email you a special link to register at the reduced rate!

And speaking of discounts…

SAVE $5 OFF THE REGISTRATION PRICE TODAY! You can save $5 if you register by July 14th at midnight. Discount will be reflected at checkout.

If you have any questions about this class, please don’t hesitate to contact me at classes@cathyzielske.com!

If I can not make the live broadcasts, will I be able to watch them when my schedule permits?

Yes! A live course is a course that runs during a set time period. You do not need to be in a certain place at a given time. You will access the content on a weekly basis as you are able. There is a fixed registration period and once it closes, you will not be able to join the class in progress. I will be actively involved daily in answering your questions, as well as being involved in the closed class Facebook group. Each Friday at 9 a.m. EST during the run of the course, there will be a new classroom with the new lessons and assignments for the week. The live portion of the course ends on August 11, 2017. After the close date, I will not be participating in the course Facebook group, but will be available to answer your questions as needed.

Also, any live chats I host in the Facebook group will be archived there as well!

Finally, you have permanent access to the materials as long as I run my website and if I ever close my business, you’ll have the links to download all key material!

I’m a DYL 1.0 alumni and really enjoyed that class, but summer is not a good time for me to take this – too busy! Consider this one vote for redoing in October. Thanks!

That will work just fine, Lynn! I’m only on version 13! And yes, I wish I had a different set up other than Facebook for group interaction, but for right now, that is the set up!

Just signed up and very excited! I know that you use Silhouette/Cameo quite often on your pages. Do you have any suggestions for tutorials? I am sorry to say I have one of the ORIGINAL Silhouettes that I never could figure out, so I just gave up! 🙁 I think I’m ready to give it a try again. LOL! Thanks so much!

Hey Sharon! Glad to have you!

You know, one of my colleagues in this crafty world, Kerri Bradford, is literally the best teacher for Cameo stuff! If you are looking to get the basics! kerribradford.com.

I use mine in the class, but not in the tutorial sense. 🙂 Plus I have included fussy cut files that will work, too! I do not expect students to have a cutting machine! It’s not actually needed, because my goal is to encourage students to use what they have on hand in terms of embellishments and what not!

How many layouts will we be making in the four weeks? I’d like to do some pre-sorting of my photos –and since I could do that forever–I’d like a rough idea how many “layouts” I should have ready to scrap. Thanks!
