Aidan

"Mom, you're pretty hip…I mean, at least you act like you live in this century."

I just knew once I stopped churning my own butter that my 10-year-old would think I was cooler.

(and lo, I did in fact, maketh that scarf.)

So you are now officially a specialist knitter too? πŸ™‚ (don’t know if the word ‘knitter’ exists in English though. Gave it my best try..)

Cute scarf. Next one is for Coley, than Dan and than your bag? Are you patient enough to wait until than to make your bag??

Awesome scarf! Loving the knitting going on in the scrapbooking world, but the hubby would probably put his foot down and say, enough is enough! Welcome back to the blog world.!

And that is how a scrapbook page is born!

My 8 year old son comes off with stuff like that all the time. I’ll feel special for a split second, but then he continues his thought and I realize it wasn’t such a compliment afterall!

Good to have you back, Cathy.

The scarf is great. I’ve started to re-learn knitting after a 30 year absence. Last time I was about 15. I doubt my first projects will come out that good. I still need practice. It’s just so cool to click on your link and see your blog after all those months of reaching nothingness!

I had no idea all I had to do was STOP churning the butter! But then what will I do all day? Alas, I fear my 11 yr old will not always believe in my coolness. I am enjoying it while it lasts. Nice job on the scarf.

Great, now you make me want to start knitting too. I’ve been after my friend to teach me for a year now, and I guess it’s time to put the screws to her. πŸ˜‰ I’m a lefty though, and she’s dreading it!
That photo is incredible, the colours are whoa! Do you use some kind of action for your pics? Please share!

    Hi Cathy
Love the photo of Aidan and the colours in the scarf – not to mention the scarf.Made me think – My daughter(5 yrs) and I are going to attempt to sew a sun dress for her. First sewing I have done for a number of years but it will be fun.
I know you are really busy but hoping you can remember way back to Wellington NZ and a conversation we had after one of your classes about a class you were taking online(in August) about organising your photos etc – you said it was fantastic and that you thought it was running again in January.(Not sure if you said it was Stacy’s class – sorry can’t remember) I know it has probably started but just wondering if you remember it would you mind sending me a link to find out more about it. No worries if you can’t remember.
I’m so happy you are blogging again – for me as I didn’t get to see the last blog but mainly for you if it makes you happy.
Just finally before I go…My heart goes out to you and your family and neighbourhood, and especially Mary’s family for your loss. Take Care, Ka kite ano ( Maori translated-See you again)hopefully. Karen

‘course your hip! Who else has a mom with friends that arrange shirts with Billie Joe’s autograph on them??? Rest my case.
BTW, this could be the start of a rock memorabilia collection for Cole. I’m sure there is someone out there with a friend who has a friend who has a friend who knows Dave Grohl’s neighbour πŸ˜‰ The 6 degrees of separation put to the test, so to speak. ‘Cause for a self-professed recluse you have quite a following!
I’m afraid the only thing I might be able to arrange is something signed by Ali B., a famous Dutch rapper (well, famous in Holland anyway…) but something tells me that’s not exactly to Cole’s taste… LOL
