Crazy…but that’s how it goes

Trainone

So Cole has started writing a series of "books" at school, and has been talking about it a lot over the past few weeks. Finally, on Friday, he brought one of them home:

Very good collection of stories about how bad you can get messed up if you do things like: a) try to outrun a train in your car, and b) try to outrun a train by foot and c) find yourself unexpectedly in a massive explosion…on a train.

But my favorite is definitely Chapter 7:

Traintwo

Because we all know how really messed up you get when you're "riding up" the rails on a crazy train.

The kid is brilliant.

Okay, so clearly you have a complete and utter genius on your hands. Frankly, I want chapters 1-6, and any after 7 as well.

But more than that, I want Cole to design a Rawk t-shirt for http://www.threadless.com or something. Cafe Press, whatever, I want Coleman Zielske original wares in my house too. So I can say ‘yeah, I knew his stuff back before he was big’ …

Let me preface this with….we love Ozzie! He’s a train wreck and that’s why we love him. That said, I showed your entry to my husband and he wants to adopt Cole. It cracked us both up. My kid goes around singing Crazy Train while her friends are lip synching Jesse McCartney.

Ok, so are you prepping for your son being the next big rock star in about 10 years? Talk about school of rock…have you been schooling this child in the classics since he came out of the room. And I was proud of my five year old owning a Ramones shirt, lol.

How cool is it that, at his age, he knows the words to Crazy Train AND that it’s a tribute to Randy? Hello! Brilliant is an understatement.

Thanks for the awesome and amazing belly laughs today! Is anything more fun than having your kids get to an age when they come up with their own crazy/ingenius ideas?

This is what being a Mommy is all about!

omg he’s the fabbest thing ever. i think the parent/teacher conference post may be the best material to come this year. 😉
but also: keep your eye out for copycats when cole hits young adulthood. in the first grade, i went mad writing scripts for movies. all called _insert disaster here_:the movie. the hindenburg: the movie. death of the aztecs: the movie. and of course, titanic: the movie. to this day, i am convinced someone totally sold me out.
cole, on the other hand, would find out who, track them down, and quite possibly air guitar them into insanity, no?
    he’s brilliant.

OMG this is great. I was a big Ozzy fan in high school. Cole did a great job, typical boy with the train wreck etc. That’s so cool he wrote about Ozzy. I also have my music going in the van and I am totally crazy over the Goo Goo Dolls and my kids know everything about the lead singer Jon. Please tell your son that he rocks.
