Who needs designers?

One for me, and one for my homies.

[Knowing full well you won't get the next five minutes of your life back, watch this if you've ever wanted to tell upper management why their ideas are so fundamentally wrong when it comes to white space.]

I don’t have sound and that was still amusing. Happy Halloween!

I didn’t turn the sound on because I was too lazy to roll over to the stereo and turn it on..

    I could still “HEAR” .. “BUT WAIT .. THERE’S MORE!” ..

    LOL!

Wait!!!….let me wipe my tears! You used The Emotionator on your blog page didn’t you???!!! In my previous life (aka pre-kids), I made logos and signs. This fabulous package of products would have made me millions! A day late and a dollar short again…..Thanks for making my day!

OMG!!!I think they stole my clients to make that commercial!!! That is all I hear, can you make it bigger? What about all this space over here? Can we add more information? Here’s another paragraph; can you find some space for it in the ad? I have photoshop, I could probably do that. UGH!!!! What is with these people? That made my year! I think I need to send that to an old professor. Cathy, this is exactly why you ROCK!!!

Love it! That starburst dust was always a salesperson’s favorite at the newspaper I used to work for. Makes me cringe just thinking about it. πŸ™‚ Thanks for the laugh.

Oh, loved that! And to think you just need a bit of cream and a little “spritz”.

Have you had any printing issues with the R1800 since you put leopard on? Just wondering, as I have. Thanks…

As they use to say in the “old days”…a little dab will do ya!!

OMG! That is so funny. I am a designer and I can totally relate to this! The EVP of Marketing of a company I worked for didn’t understand the concept of white space…and he always wanted more emotion! Thanks for sharing!

And I had to tell you last night it was my turn to see the wonderful Mr Neil Finn and Crowded House at their concert here in Wellington. Awesome night! Aren’t they great?

LOL! I need to pass this one on to the designers at my company. The “emotionator” put me over the top with the flag-eagle-rainbow-baby-seal collage.

    Thanks for the laugh!

I’m not sure why (perhaps it’s my browser), but I don’t see a link to the YouTube clip. Any chance you could post the URL or the name of the clip?
    Thanks!

Ahhh…that takes me back. It reminds me of the olden days – designing ads for the newspaper. I had almost forgotten about the starburst feature in Illustrator. Good times, good times.
