Everyone’s Doin’ It!

Saw this yesterday on Ali's blog, and I thought: Hey, I can do that. It's far more interesting than what I had for lunch.

TODAY
June 23st, 2009

Outside my window… The sun is slowing making its presence known.

I am thinking... about how I need to keep the air conditioning at 73 all day, even though my sweet hubby would much prefer I keep it at 75.

I am thankful for… air conditioning on hot and humid midwestern days.

From the kitchen… last night was delicious kebabs, shared with our good friend, Christine. Tonight, I'm thinking fish.

I am wearing… horribly mismatched pajamas and flip flops.

I am creating… content for my upcoming online class.

I am going… to lace up tennis shoes at roughly 7 a.m. and force my tushka onto the treadmill, whether it does me any good or not.

I am reading… the latest Sookie Stackhouse book, which is taking me a surprisingly long time to get through.

I am hoping… that Cole turns the corner and starts to feel better soon. It's not strep, and we don't bring up the phrase "H1N1" in our house.

I am hearing… Men in Black on Demand. (What else is a sick 9 year old going to do at 6:05 a.m.?)

Around the house… there is a kitchen in desperate need of a cleaning and small piles of stuff on nearly every surface.

One of my favorite things… air conditioning.

A few plans for the rest of the week… work on class content, go to two different doctor appointments (it's mammogram time! YES!), shuffle kids to various places, and stay cool. (Cool as in temperature…I stopped being "cool" in the classic sense months ago.)

So sorry Coley is sick, but … it’s 8:16 a.m. here and it’s 83 degrees and climbing. We have 4 seasons, November, December, January and summer πŸ™

Hope Cole feels better soon πŸ™‚

Whilst I don’t twitter or FB enough to join in your class I’ve been planning something similar with these daybooks. Nearly finished my first year’s worth!

Enjoy the treadmill… and the air conditioning at whatever degree you’ve ended up on πŸ˜†

    Hope Cole feels better soon!

I always have a Baskin Robbins peanut butter & chocolate milkshake after a mammogram. And I love all things Charlaine Harris.

I love air conditioning, too!!! We are in the midst of the hottest summer since ’98. I “wish” I could run my A/C at 75….it is now kept at 79 degrees, since I got my $500 electric bill yesterday!!! Then there is the $100+ water bill since the last rain we had was in May…….gotta love Texas!!!

I haven’t read the books yet. We got hooked on the HBO series and I am scared to pick up the books. Because..I will not set them down until I have read every single one until done! My hubby would not appreciate that! LOL! Sorry to hear about Cole! Hopefully it is just a summer cold and passes quickly!

You’re the first person I thought of when I saw on the news than your part of the country was going to be in the high 90s. Hang in there!

I’m a lifetime Washingtonian and I can not take the heat. I soooo feel for you. And there are no spaces larger than a breadbox without a pile of books or papers on it. They are neat but oh my goodness we have a lot of books and magazines and art work.

Airconditioning Amen. Wish I had it in my craft room (but nope) You know you are a diehard scrapbooker when you live in Minnesota and can scrapbook upstairs without air.
Hope Mr. Cole is better soon. I too have had that sore throat, headache, plugged ears, runny nose, harsh cough. It last about 3 weeks.

I love this. It would be so awesome to answer those question every day, especially for someone like me who has trouble keeping up with daily journaling. This would get me started and I could actually stick with it!
