Fall is in the air. I am wearing a new vest. I am drinking more tea.
I am taking more pictures of myself in the bathroom mirror and applying more actions to them. My goal is to look slightly freaky and much more introspective.
I know I should have so much more to say, but it's Monday. Not to worry! Why, we have ALL week.

Hi Cathy, love the vest and the color is pretty on you. I am reading “no need for speed” by John the Penquin bingham that you recomended awhile ago. Have the others on reserve. So far I’m loving it for the realness of it and me feeling the same way. In 4 days it will be a month since I put my running shoes on and I’m so happy and love going for early morning walks. Thanks for your inspiration and sharing your journal it is such a big help. Looking forward to your pics in the bathroom and seeing how they come out. Happy Monday!

I like the introspective look!

Cathy, just wanted to let you know that when you click on your “actions” link in the above post, it takes you to your favourite tea shop!!
Also, just curious what lens you have on your camera?? Oh, and nice vest!

you look great on your new vest, cathy! and this tea looks delicious…

LOL! Ooh, I want to “look slightly freaky and much more introspective” too! Cathy, you are a crack up. π
cathy says
doh! youre right. Corrected now! The lens is a Canon 24-70 F2.8. I love it like a child.
cathy says
4 months? Woo hoo! : ) Glad you are liking the book. Im doing a post tomorrow on my running faves, and yep, that book is on the list!

Hi cathy,
In 4 days it will make it a month of walking/jogging for me not 4 months. Thank you for your cheer though I need it. Feeling great now just got back and realize I’ve done my best times this week so thinking of either increasing my laps or keep working on my same 2miles and getting faster. If this makes sense to you tell me which you think would be better please since you are EXPERIENCED RUNNER NOW……I can’t wait to see your post tomorrow.
AngieS says
I kid you not, but now your link is opening to Haley Paper Pack at DD!! Or at least when I click on it??!?!
Regarding the lens, my next question would have been “how do you like it?”, as I am seriously looking at buying the very same…but I think your comment pretty much sums it up!
Thanks.

Oooooh, I love the colour scheme you chose for this year’s Me:TAV album. I can’t wait to see the rest of it. π
By the way, all this Me:TAV-related introspection made me blog about ME yesterday. I think I’ll distill a few of the rambling thoughts from my blog and include them in my album.
cathy says
Really? I cant win. UGH.
I love the lens more than any lens Ive ever had. It is heavy as lead, but the images are so buttery. It is totally worth every lovin cent. And everyone I know with this lens says the same thing.
Investment. Thats what it is!

What action did you use on the second shot? Quite good. Is it PW?

I probably should have scrapped this first – but here’s a little proof that you journey has been inspirational to many. This one, in particular, who thought “good for her, but eh – not my thing” … Well lookie here … http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?pid=1530426&id=1522622168&ref=fbx_album.
First 5K completed!

Oh – and I’m the one in the pink LOL! – Guess I should have identified that part.

You’re definitely rocking the vest look today. Wish I could break out the fall gear, too. It’s still sunny and sweaty and shorts weather here, despite the fact that I am suffering from my first winter head/chest cold! Haven’t been able to run in a week, and I’m kinda freaking out about that. Scared of losing the fitness I worked so hard to achieve if I can’t get back on the old treadmill soon. Is that crazy? Why can’t I just rest, relax and let my body enjoy the break? Argh!
Tricia says
Man, it’s 99 degrees down here in the deep south. I’m envious of your cooler weather and your vest not your cup of tea though.
Melissa says
I would say that you haven’t fully succeeded at the freaky look. Keep tryin’. ;->
What is this trend in triathalon-ing? You, DD, AE, KR… I can’t imagine running for 5 minutes let alone 5 miles! GO, YOU!!!

Unsolicited testimonial:
Just started with the “Me – The Abridged Version” and I love it!
Cathy put a lot of work into the videos, templates and handouts.
I am beyond busy in my life right now, so even if I don’t finish the project by the end of the class, I’m cool with that. The thought provoking prompts Cathy provides are very yeasty and will serve me in good stead for a long time to come.
Plus, as a strictly digital scrapbooker, making the very tangible tag book was a lot of fun!
If you don’t tell your story, who will?
;o)

Thanks for the unsolicited testimony!

LOL!
No, no thank you!
By the way, my husband is getting a kick out of your videos and the whole MeTAV process. Who knows, I may need to make a manly-man tag book for him!
