    I have always shared your viewpoint that birthdays are to be celebrated! Not just other people’s birthdays. YOUR OWN birthday!! It’s the day you arrived here on planet Earth, and I think it’s cool to be happy about your anniversary. Especially if you’ve filled that year with life truly lived.
    So … Happy (Belated)Birthday, and … Happy New Year!

    You mentioned old 45s! That’s the way I celebrated my 45th almost five years ago. I went to the thrift store, found a bunch of them (mostly Motown! Yeah!) and I used scrapbook paper to decorate the centers and slapped my photo on top. Those were my party invitations. Anyway, I hope you had a wonderful birthday and that every day will be as good. You are our gift, Miss Cathy Woman.

    I missed your birthday yesterday Cathy. Hope it was a great day. Loved the photos. I noticed the beautiful porch and front door in the last picture yesterday. Is the reno project responsible for that? It’s gorgeous.

    your 45 comments made me think of when the song ‘soak up the sun’ came out…we heard the line ‘i got my 45 on so i can rock on’ & my husband & i were trying to figure out what the ’45’ was referring to…he thought it was a gun (apparently there is one called a 45) & i thought it was a 45 record…cut to about 8 years later (that would be last year), i had a epiphany: ‘sunscreen! she’s talking about sunscreen!’…uh huh, we’re the smart ones… 🙂
