You are a stitch, Cathy! And I love seeing you live. Unfortunately, your super cool abridged book idea has now caused me to rethink my Christmas gifts (that is, rethink my “I have no idea what I’m going to do for _______” idea) and maybe start scavenging through my digital pandora’s box for cool booklets to make.

Thanks for the fresh approach today!

What a happy little suprprise to start my day.
In my neck of the woods here in Michigan it is still slightly dark out, overcast gray and trying to rain, or spitting on us as I like to call it. So imagine how delightful it was when I stopped by with a cuppa cocoa and see you all shiny and bright in your hot pink fleece.
Love ya girl, you are a bright spot in my day !
P.S. I love your videos, thats why I enjoyed your classes, even if I never completed a dang thing. You were worth the price of admission.
Oh, great book by the way !

I think your “love cup” is getting filled today girlie!! Thanks for the video post, those are always a delight!! I started this project in 2010, the hybrid version, and to my great shame it is as yet, unfinished! For some reason, I just struggle with writing about myself! However, seeing your super cute thin one has inspired me to get off my procrastinating fanny and get ‘er done!! Again….You’re the bomb and that hot pink is fabulous on you! πŸ™‚

    Hi Cathy,

Love your books and I did Me TAV a few years ago – loved it.

Why inkubook and not Blurb again?

Also, I’d love to do the project in Blurb in 8 x 10 (to match the four other digi books) so can I ‘adjust’ your templates to suit? I want to buy them but keep holding back figuring it may be too hard to adjust to that size…pls help! πŸ˜‰

Kate, it was blurbs lack of 8 x 10 size offering. It is a little tricky to adjust the size down. I did do that for my students in the class, which was the templates I used as well. If youre comfortable in PSE, its do able, but I would hate to have someone buy something and then not be able to convert it successfully!

Love the videos and wished I looked so fresh and young without the mascara!! Interesting that I have the opposite situation, I did the class finished the writing and the color blocks but having a hard time finishing up the photos. I just learned how to make a template in PSE so hope to do that with the 3×3 size and then knock that out. The interesting thing is that I did this book and in my entry under B was brothers. In an example of life changing dramatically, one of my brothers was killed in a car accident. Wow – when i reread the passage, I realized I had to amend it. So i added a note. What I said about brothers still mattered even more, but I use this example of what a powerful tool this project has been in my life. And I am looking forward to doing another one for this year and making it an “us” one to include my new furbabies as well.
Thanks for your inventiveness and fun Cathy!!

    Hello!
I am loving this idea and with our first baby on the way I am thinking of doing an “Us” version so we can look back and remember the way we were before the kids came along. I have a quick question: what is the difference between the two volumes of the digital album download? Does one have more options or do I need to buy both? Thanks a ton!

You only need one, whichever one appeals to you more. The Vol 1 digital version does just one letter per page; the Vol. 2 does two letters per page. The end result is one book would be thicker than the other!

While I am thrilled that you landed in the world of scrapbooking, I think you might have a dual calling in life. You could totally be a tv reporter . . . or you could sell stuff on QVC . . . something in film . . .

Oh, I could sell stuff alright… see Ive got this swamp land in Louisiana…

One time, I was in Dallas, and we were filming a video for Simple Scrapbooks back when we thought it would be a good idea to put out videos. OH MY LORD. It took me 2 hours to film the stupidest 3 minute segment on Mini Albums. I had enough make up on to sink a battle ship. It was a very dark day in Zielske history. I realized that when Im supposed to follow a script or look perky, it aint quite working. ; )

    Hi Cathy
I have a question about printing. If we were to go with an 8×10 book for the MeTav, do you recommend adjusting the size before adding the page to the book or could you add the jpeg as is to a full page layout (that typically would leave a margin). I had started to add my layouts to another company and then thought i’d see whatothers had done. I wasn’t aware of inkubook.
