They Say It’s My Birthday

That's me, just about 45-1/2 years ago, which makes me 46 today.

I just thought I'd point out that it's my birthday. 

I don't have anything crazy planned. I'm going for a walk with my sweet friend, Margie, and her dog. I will refrain from doing any real work. And I will have take out from the Taste of India for dinner.

I will also remember to be grateful to have made it this far. 

So very grateful indeed.

    Today is my hubby’s 50th!! I pre-ordered him a new iPad. He doesn’t know it but I’m throwing him a surprise “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” party tomorrow night. After that, nothing for the next nine years–I’m all tapped out. I’ll have to start saving for his 60th birthday now!

    One more thing…
    Cathy, I was wondering…do you ever wonder about your birth parents? I am also adopted and usually on my birthday, my mom toasts my birth mom. I was never curious until I had my own child and realized how hard it would be to carry a child then give him/her up for adoption. It seems like the ultimate sacrifice. Just wondering if you think about these things on your birthday.
