OBSERVATIONS: The coolest picture I've taken all year is featured in this week's album. (Okay, I don't know if that's true, but Aidan busted out some leftover sparklers and tried to create the Deathly Hallows logo while I shot a long exposure. Seems like a bit of magic to me!)
Another week, another Project Life spread. Without further adieu, shall we?
This week marked the first week of the year in which my 16-year-old decided to give driving a fair shot. So far, so good. She may get that license some day afterall.
I also played with a new app called Layout for iPad. I used images from my Photo Stream to create the collage in Layout, then sent that hi res file to my main Mac and dropped it into a Tiny Template. I think the results are pretty cool. iPad 2 and higher users can check out Layout here.
Ah bone spurs, you are most definitely not going to be a friend, I can tell already.
Cole's baseball season also wrapped up this week. Such a growth season for him, even if they didn't make the playoffs.
And speaking of Cole, who turns 13 next Monday, duuuuuude! Stop growing up!
Here's my weekly recap:
And that, Project Life lovin' friends, is all I wrote.

Go Aidan Go! Visualising is the key. As someone who only learned how to drive at 30 – I didn’t like the feeling of not being in control. I only learned out of necessity, but found that when I sat into the car and told myself ‘I am a good driver’ ‘I am a confident driver’, I could do it. All the best!

Love seeing your PL each week! I;m a few weeks behind on mine & this motivates me π
btw…can you give specifics on how to shoot our own sparkler pics? I have tried but they never look like that! So cool!
McAmy says
love your PL this week. i appreciate the “what is making me stressed out card”. :O)
in your journaling overlay for cole’s baseball pct, do you have a standard opacity that you like to use, or do you just wing it?
cathy says
Amy, it varies depending on the photo, honestly. That was set to 60 I believe. I didnt save the file so Im not sure. : )

How do you print out the photo of the iphone weather page? I guess it’s a screen shot? But I don’t think I have any idea how to do a screen shot of my iphone.
cathy says
Heres a quick link to show you how to take a screen shot:http://www.imore.com/how-to-take-a-screenshot-with-the-iphone
I then drop it into a 3 x 4 file in Photoshop, and go from there!

Fantastic pages and post, as always. I get so much type and layout inspiration from you! Love those photographs of Aidan and Cole on the bottom of the right half.

We have four children, b-20, b-17, g-14, and g-12. Our oldest son just got his permit two months ago and drove the one day, then decided he isn’t interested. Our 17 year old got his permit the day he turned 15 1/2, drove for the six months, then decided he wasn’t interested. It’s no big deal to me (I didn’t get my license until I was 18 and my brother didn’t get his until he was 21), but everyone else around us thinks we have the strangest sons on the planet. Our oldest daughter seems pretty intent on getting her permit at the earliest possible moment and then actually getting a license and DRIVING. It will be interesting to see if she beats the two of them. Hee hee.

It is amazing that Cole is turning 13! I want to keep him little!

Your PL spreads are so awesome. I love the clean look of them, and it makes me feel like mine are all messy and crazy. I should really figure out how to use PSE for more than just simple photo editing…

Hey Cathy, I love the Layout App. I only have an ipad and PC. Do you know how i can transfer my Layout to my PC for printing? I emailed it to myself and opened it in elements, but i can’t seem to re-size without losing some of the content.
Any ideas?

Hi Cathy. Loving the Layout app. I downloaded it this afternoon and I can see me using it a lot as its so easy to use. Thanks for sharing. I would never have known about it otherwise.
cathy says
Hmmm. Not sure what to tell you. Thats exactly what I did with mine. Hmmm. I think if you keep the proportion the same, you just have to make it smaller, which is what i did to fit it onto one of my 6 x 4 templates. : )

Just had to laugh when I saw your photo of the x-ray machine! This is my career and I have never had anyone want to take a photo during the x-ray before – but I would certainly understand and be open to it!

Catching up on comments. I just tried this with my itouch, it works!
Thanks for the link!
