In just over a week, my new Two Views workshop kicks off at Big Picture Classes. This class is all about pairing up with an album buddy—a parent, a child, a best friend, a sister, a partner or spouse—and answering a series of thought-provoking questions. The goal is to present a she said/she said (or he said) type of a scrapbook that shows where you both are in life, what you think and how you see the world.
I chose to make this album with my lovely 16-year-old daughter Aidan, and now that it's done, I keep thinking this is something she and I will seriously love to look back on as the years progress. What she thought at 16 and what I thought at 46… how different will we view our lives and ourselves in 10 years, or 20, or more?
Today I wanted to share one set of pages from the album. Of the 15 prompts you can choose from, one of my favorites is "How We Are Different." Every time Aidan finished one of her pages and gave it to me, I really did savor reading what she wrote. To read her voice and see her choice of a photograph, well, it warmed this scrapbooking mama's heart to say the least. Here's a peek at the two pages we did for this album project.
Note: click on each image to see the page larger in a new window.
Aidan found an old photo of me and her from when she was just about three to use on her page. Sigh. Gotta tell you: that one melts me every time.
This album project is really more about the words than having the perfect photos to illustrate every point, although it was fun to dig through my photo collection and select photos I thought would best work with my entries.
Each spread in this album project looks exactly like what you see above. You alternate your patterned papers, add printable monograms, photos and journaling.
The other part of the class is solid instruction for both Word and Photoshop Elements users. Beginners are definitely welcome and will find the step-by-steps clear and easy to follow. It's a true hybrid scrapbooking project that lets you combine the best of computer technology and traditional scrapbooking. (Note: fully layered PSD files are included for digital scrapbookers.)
Your album partner doesn't have to be a scrapbooker. Heck, you can get them to do the writing and offer up the photos, and you can assemble all of the pages yourself. For example, I'd love to do this project with my hubby, but I wouldn't really expect him to bust out the Hermafix and go to town on the assembly.
To learn more about the class or to sign up, click here.
NOW FOR THE GIVEAWAY Today I'm giving away two spots in this class and tonight I will choose the winners after 7 p.m. CST. All you have to do is tell me who you would consider doing this album project with, were you to win the spot in class. Good luck, and I'll choose two winners tonight.
This giveaway is now closed. Please check back to see if you're a winner.

This class looks so intriguing! I would love to do an album like this with my sister…we are alike in so many ways & yet so very different too 😀
Thanks for the opportunity 😉
Julie G says
I would probably try to do it twice, once with each daughter. 🙂
carlajinar says
It would be fun to do with my sons, but it would also be fun to do with my non scrapbooking mom who just retired a year ago.
Scrappy Angel says
Decisions, decisions….at first I thought my daughter (almost 10 yrs old) but then I thought maybe my hubby and then I thought, no maybe my mom. I guess if I win a seat, I’ll either have to make up my mind or make 3 albums!!!! LOL
libbywilko says
I would love to do it with my boys but I think they are still a bit too small. Maybe I would do it with my best friend. I wish I could do it with my Mum but she lives far away and has a degenerative disease so we are rapidly losing memories… Wish I could have done it 6 years ago… Maybe I could try when we visit at Christmas. Thanks for the chance Cathy. It looks awesome.. Love how your pages with Aiden turned out.

Angie Kyle says
I would do it with my mom. I think it would be very interesting at our ages now, 41 & 61.
Roelina says
I would love to do this one with my mom. She has wanted to start scrapbooking for sometime, but has no idea where to start. This would be an awesome project to work on together!
TanyaS says
I have 4 sons but only 1 daugher. She is 13, and I would LOVE to do this project with her. I feel it could bring us closer and give us something fun to work on together 🙂 Thanks for the chance to win!
Mel says
Oh my gosh, Cathy, this is an *awesome* idea for a class 🙂 I’d love to do it with my daughter, who’s 10, and keen on scrapbooking herself – she’d love to be really involved with the whole process 🙂
Stephanie W says
I love this idea. I think I would do it with my husband. We are so alike but so, so very different about some things in life right now. I’d love to document that for us, but also for our family in the future. Thanks for the chance to win.
Lisa M. says
I would definitely do this my 17-yr old daughter. She’s graduating from HS in June & will be heading off to college in the Fall. I can’t think of a more meaningful keepsake for both of us.
Allison R says
The hubby and I are approaching our 1 year anniversary and this would be a wonderful project for us to do together. I can imagine looking at it again and again. And maybe doing installments on milestone years! Great class Cathy! :]
Glenda says
I would like to do this with both my daughters. I was 22 when I got married and they are both in their 20’s and just beginning their careers. I think the comparisons will be very interesting.
Tami says
I have a soon to be 15 year old son who is so much like me is so many ways, but yet so different. I would like to hear his perspective and take on things. He is very mature, but so very 15 right now, I’m starting to feel old. 🙂
Karlene says
This class looks great. I would do this class with my 13 year old daughter. I feel her pulling away from me it sure would be nice to celebrate our differences and similarities.
Juliann says
I have been thinking about this and wondered if it might be something my husband and I could do together? Now that our girls are all grown up, it would be cool for us to do something like this. Of course I would also love to do this with my daughters – so many great choices.
Amy M. says
I would want to do this with my husband. We are so truly different it makes it challenging sometimes :>) But we love each other for our differences that it would be a great album for us and our children to have.
Sarah says
My Husband – no doubt.
Rosy K. says
Cathy, I would do this project with my twin sister, Kitsa. We are so alike it’s scary. Yet, we our different in many ways. Sounds like a fun project.
fiona says
I would do this with my oldest daughter … I love hearing her perspective on things… Great project idea!
Leslie says
I think this would be an awesome project to do with several people in my life . . . but I think my daughter and I would have the most fun with it!! She’s 12, but is a “mini me” in so many ways — it would be interesting to see how it turned out with us both flexing our creativity muscles!
Paige H. says
I would either do the class with my oldest daughter who is 15, because I think it would be good for us, or my youngest sister because she likes doing these projects together and we’d have fun with it!
BettyLou says
I would work really hard to convince at least one of my high school friends to do this with me. We graduated in 1970 (yes, over 40 years ago) and have been getting together in an organized fashion for at least the last 25 of those years. (Before that it was random…)
Laurie R says
Me Me Me! I think my husband and I could really use some bonding in our relationship lately!
Lohersh says
My friend Teresa. Don’t have an abundance of scrapping friends!
Juliane says
I think I would do with my boyfriend. He is a non-scrapbooker and doesn’t know what I’m doing. So it’s a good chance for both of us to learn something from the other. Now we have no children, so I think in a couple of years do it again would be great and how different it would be. So thanks for the chance to win.
Juliane
Ann T says
I’d love to do an album with my husband.
Beth O'Dell says
My oldest daughter is a junior in high school, I’d love to do this WITH her and FOR her to take when she goes away to college:)
Tricia says
I lost my Mom in May. She was oly 64. You always think that you have all of the time in the world to do something like this. There are so many things I wish I had asked her. I think that this would be a perfect project for my daughter and I. Thanks Cathy. You are the greatest.
Laurel says
I would love to do this with my older daughter. She and I have so many similarities, but are so very different. How fun!
anne says
I want to do one with the whole family.i would love to see my kids 13 and 7 do one and then maybe each one of us pick a prompt and a partner and do it that way.
Vi says
This project is a wonderful idea, and I would love to do this with my husband.
Teal says
It was so hard for me to choose between this class and BPC Boot Camp (which was awesome by the way – always love your take on things!) Would LOVE to do this with my daughter, and will some day. If I win we’ll do it now, if not I hope it is offered later as a workshop or self paced class! Would be a great way for us to connect, and lets face it – that’s not always easy for mamas and daughters!
Lori says
This looks like so much fun! I would do this class with my husband for sure. After 18+ years of marriage and a life that is currently crazy/busy, I think it would be a great way to reconnect and share some laughs and some tears.
Liz says
I would love to do this album with my partner. He and I have only been together 1 1/2 years. He and his son moved in with me and my kids about 6 months ago and while we are so very different on the surface, as we live together, I notice more and more similarities…. I think the album would be a fun way to “grow” our relationship… to be more conscious of our quirks and similarities…. especially since I’d have to do some major arm-twisting to get him to do it. LOL
Pasha says
I would love to take this class with my grandma! She is an amazing woman and loves to joke that she would like to write a book about her life, but no one would believe her stories. Such a fabulous class idea Cathy!
Jenni Booth says
I would do this project with my 13-year old daughter, Maisy. <3 Love her so much!
Holly says
This is an awesome album! It would be fun to do it with all five of my kids and it would be really interesting to do it with my husband. It is a standing joke how opposite we are! I also think that it would fascinating to have my identical girl twins make an album. Well, actually, I would make the album they could do the writing 😉
Whitney says
I would have a tough decision between my husband & my mom!
Liz H. says
This looks like a good project to do. I would do it with my daughter or maybe my mom.
Carolyn says
I’d choose to do it with my daughter also.
Karen in Brookville, Oh says
I would make an album with each of my children. I would love to see their perspectives.
MusiczooMamma says
Fantastic idea!! My daughter and/or my big sis!! Peace ~
Suzy says
First of all, Thank you so much! I would do this album with my mom who is 83. I would love to get her perspective on things.
Joana says
I would do it with my best friend: my sister, Fil.
Mary-Lou says
I would like to do this project with one of my nieces. She and I, to her Mother’s horror, are similar in many ways. I would like to do as I think it would validate that family has many branches but the same roots.
Tina says
I would like to do this with each of my boys. I would want to begin with my 16 year old…just because we have the kind of relationship that this kind of project would be a perfectly natural thing to do…although with four of them, it could take awhile. My husband would be interesting… but I would start with my firstborn.
Gail H. says
I’d want to do this album with my best friend, Pam. Somehow we have managed to remain best friends even though we haven’t lived anywhere near each other in almost 10 years. We share a love of scrapbooking and use it as an excuse to see each other at least twice a year for conventions in each other’s city. I think this album would give us a chance to see how we have changed and stayed the same after all these years.
Michelle Mounts says
I would love to do this album with my oldest daughter who is a senior in high school this year. I think it would be cool to have next year when she is away in college.
Veronica says
Too cool! I would do this class with my teacher mentor Tanis!
We would have a blast!
Connie says
Love your pages! I would especially like to do this project with my husband. I would be very interested to see the connections we make. I would also love to see his words on a scrapbook page!
D says
At first I thought “my son” and then I thought “wait, my hubby” because while my son might know “Mum and Dad are different” he may not really really realize that in some ways his parents are really alike at the core.
Vigdis says
Love this angle of doing a scrapbook. I would do this with my 17 year old daughter. And then I might do one with my 12 year son as he really know how to write good stories 🙂
Marya says
Really this idea is so beautiful. I would love to coerce my mom into doing it with me and see what we learn about each other.
Valerie K says
Oh wow! what a great album this would turn out to be!! First, I would want to do this with my mom. For as long as I can remember, its been just me and my mom. She never married my dad which is why I didn’t grow up with my dad until I was 16. My relationship with my mom has grown in to a friendship, which I think is the coolest thing. Second, I would like to do this with my Dad. I think it would be interesting to see how alike we are even though I didn’t grow up with him. I’m slowly getting to know him and learning of so many things we have in common.
Tammy says
I would start with my husband, but would love to have it be an ongoing album that we could add to when my boys when they are a bit bigger. I thought that the boys and I could do pages, as well as the boys and their father, and then the boys with each other. My husband and I could also do some prompts about the boys from each of our different perspectives…so many fun possibilities! I love this idea, especially as I really want to incorporate their voices, and I think this is a good and non-threatening/easy to complete way to do that. Thanks!
rach says
I’d love to do this with my daughter Seren who is turning 10 next month. It would be such a cool thing to look back on.
Paula says
I would love to do this project with my husband! With two young children, work, social life and sports we sometimes feel more like a team than a married couple. Doing this project would be an awesome opportunity to reconnect.
KikiK says
Oh! I’d love to win this! I would do it with my daughter or husband (if I succeed to convince him to write lol!) Thank you for the chance Cathy!
Caroline says
I’m already registered to do this class with my daughter. She has just left home for college (just one week after her father passed away after a 4 1/2 year cancer battle). Even though she is in the same city – well sort of (across the river in St. Paul) – I truly feel the empty nest. When I sent her the list of questions she actually seemed excited by the idea. Now we’ll see if she can balance it with her course load!
Vicki A says
I would love to do this with my hubby, or maybe my son, or my dog…guinea pig? 🙂 This sounds like a lot of fun!!
Lisa says
I think that I will do a she said, she said, she said album since I have 12 year old twin girls…sounds like a lot of fun as well as a fun learning experience to document how very different each of us are.
Susan Kopp says
What a wonderful concept! I think I would love to do this with my 80 year old mother…..I would be doing all the physical scrapping of this but I would be intrigued with what her answers would be. A great way to get an older person to open up about their life.
Lisa says
I think that I will do a she said, she said, she said album since I have 12 year old twin girls…sounds like a lot of fun as well as a fun learning experience to document how very different each of us are.
Jewel says
What a great project idea! I would do it with my teenage daughter. She is growing up so quickly and I think it would be fun to look back on the album and see what we were both like at our current ages. As she is starting puberty, I am starting periomenopause – yikes!
Melanie L. says
I would really love my husband to do this with my oldest child, who just turned 17, and will be going to college next year. I don’t know if they’ll do it. I would also love to do this with my ten year old daughter eventually, but I think she would have trouble answering some questions. Your daughter is the perfect age to do this. She knows a little about herself already but she’s still young and has her future and future experiences ahead of her that will shape who she is. This is an awesome album idea!
Rhadonda says
Interesting. Well i believe i would ask my husband. Even just asking him may elicit two views ( : Thanks!
kim says
i think i would choose my husband first but i’d end up doing all the work and one of my besties would be next!
Kim S (nerdgrl) says
Wow! Who would I do this with? Tough question. However, I think I would have to say my best friend of 37 years. We met fall term of our freshman year at Carleton and have been best buds ever since. But, our lives took different paths so I think the answers to the prompts would turn out to be very different…or not.
Maribel says
This looks great…I would do this with my daughter.
Tracy says
Your class looks fantastic. If I were to win a spot,I would do this album with my Mom. As she ages, I cherish more and more what she has to say, I treasure her memories of being a young mother and I would love spending the time with her to work on this album.
Cheryl T. says
I’d love to do this class with my best friend or my hubby…and yes hubby wouldn’t be busting out the adhesive either…nor my friend for that matter. It’s just not her thing but she can write.
Melanie ~ but you can call me Mel! says
I would probably do this with my younger sister Lyne. We are 13 years apart yet we get along so much better than my sister who is only 2 years younger than me. We travel together, call and text about everything and anything and I would just love to document out special bond. Recently we have traveled to Belize, Vegas and the Dominican Republic together and we have a ton of photos I would love to use…
Thanks so much Cathy for another rocking project.
~m
Betsy says
What a great idea! My first thought would be to do this project with my 20 yr old daughter who is a junior at UGA- which is the college that both my husband and I attended. What a great idea to compare/ contrast our college years at the same school. I think I could do this with my 16 yr. old daughter as well!!! I would love to get them involved in my hobby that I think is so important in preserving our memories for future generations.
tanyawebster says
i would do this four times…i have four daughters 😉 I think it would be an amazing gift for all five of us 😉 Thanks for offering the giveaway! love your honesty in your blog girl!
Stacy M says
I would definitely want to do this with my mom. Come to think of it, making an album with my brother might be fun too. Thanks, Cathy.
Crystal says
I have so many people to choose from! But my first choice would be my Mom. We look alot alike, sound the same and value many of the same things. But we are different too! And it would be fun to explore the prompts and see her thoughts. I love that you did this with your daughter. Thanks for sharing the giveaway – so very nice of you!
Leanne in CA says
Definitely my 14 year old daughter. We have different tastes in clothes and things (funny) but we have similar personalities and views of the world. Would be fun to win! Thanks for the chance.
Melinda Wilson says
I would love to do this class with my son who is 23 years old. He is an awesome son and there are many days we sit and discuss things. It would be great to complete and look back on it in ten years.
Gayle P says
i’ve already roped my sister into doing this class with me! can’t wait to sign up and get started!
Anso says
Thanks for a great giveaway! I would definitely do it with my boyfriend! 🙂
Jen S says
I would love to do this with my sister. She just had a baby and mine just turned 9! I would think it would be something we would have a great time doing and something meaningful that we could leave our kids.
Thanks for the opportunity!
Andrea says
I would LOVE to do this with my Mom. We are in New Jersey and just survived Hurricane Sandy (our town has extensive damage but we are ok, thank goodness). It has been a terrifying 48 hours and this would be a great way to keep ourselves busy during the recovery. Thank you so much!
DanaN says
I’d make an album with my daughter as well as one with my sister. I’m thinking the one for my sister would make a great holiday gift (I’ll have her answer the prompts but she will have no idea what it’s for). Thanks for a chance to win!
Donna A. says
As this is my son’s senior year I think it would be cool to work through this with him before he leaves home and experiences all the life changes that come with college.
Amie says
I love the concept of this book! I would do it with my husband but I also might try and use it with my two sons who are young but it would be fun to see what they would say.
Ronnie Crowley says
I would like to do it with my daughter who is turning 16 soon.
Vivian says
Either my daughter, or my husband. Thanks for the chance to win a spot in class.
Robin G says
I would make this album with my daughter who is a Senior in High School this year. She will be going away to college next year and her mother will miss her very much! She is such a strong young lady and I would love to have her thoughts from now in a book along with mine! Thanks for a chance to win!
Koren says
I was going to say each of my teenage daughters but actually I’d really love to do it with my mom first. 🙂
Susan says
would love a spot; thanks for the giveaway. took Boot Camp and loved your drills. planning on your 4experts class too!
Aimee says
I would LOVE to do this album with my mom and then again with my husband, those would be fun comparisons!
Lena D says
My oldest daughter now has a one year old and it would be interesting to see what her take would be on things now so I think I would choose her. Looks like it will be a great class.
Darcie Naylor says
My first thought was that I would do the album with my husband – like you and yours we’ve had an enlightening few years after being married for 23 – but then I think I would probably do the album first with my daughter. She is 31, has 4 kids and she is so busy. We struggle to find time together – this would be the perfect opportunity!
(I’ll do an album with my hubby in the spring! 😉 )
Samantha M says
How I would love to take this! My kids are a bit young still, so I would probably do it with my sister or my mom or my sister AND my mom. 🙂 my sister has breast cancer, so I would probably take the opportunity to do it with her first…
Melissa says
Oh I would love to take this class! Every time I see information on it, I imagine doing the class with my husband.
Jacki says
I love the idea of this album. I would love to do this with so many – my kids, my dh, my sister, my brothers….such a cool concept. I love the pages you shared and I’m excited to try this too. You’ve got the wheels turning here 🙂
Clare D'Onofrio says
Ahhh, I love this and I would do it with my 24 year old daughter. So fun, its like a time capsule of thoughts.
Lisa Ottosson says
I would love to do this with my own teenaged daughter!
Aubrey R says
I would do it with either hubby or 13 yr old daughter…maybe do an album with each!
Dionne says
I love this idea! I would do this with my 15 year old son first, and then do it again when my younger son turns 15. I think it would be fun to see how they are alike/different at the same age.
Kayla says
Hi Cathy! Were I to win, I would do this with my best friend, who moved to another state several years ago and who has always been my Partner in Creative Crime! We haven’t been able to support eachother creatively like we used to, so this would make for a great re-bonding experience over the miles… I’m imagining lots of snail mail between her and I 🙂
Cele Schaffer says
You are a genious! This looks like so much fun…
Lenea says
I would LOVE to do this with my grown daughter who is a mom herself now. She thnks my scrapbooking is CRAZY but told me she would do this if I won!! LOL Thanks for the chance!
Sara-Lynn says
I would live to do this with my son but he’s only seven. We are alike in many ways but do have our differences. He lives to look at our scrapbooks, family photos, all of it. Would be fun to do with my husband who is so different from me in so many ways… Opposites attract!
Tracy Carrigan says
I would love to do this album with my 17 year old daughter, Kelly. We enjoy doing projects together. Scrapbooking is such a wonderful bonding experience for a mother and daughter!
Thank you, Cathy! You are such an inspiration to me!
Kim says
How do I choose just one person. I think I would start with my sister who is seven years younger than me but my best friend. Then I would actually want to create an album with my son who graduates this year. Then my husband, each of my daughters, my mother and finally when my 5 year old is a bit older I would want to do an album with him. What an awesome idea for a class! And thanks for the opportunity.
tiffany h. says
What an amazing concept for a class, Cathy! I’d love to create this album with my daughter. She’s a “tween” and I’m always on the lookout for activities that will help us bond and stay connected. Thanks!
Marjorie Nienhius says
I would do this project with my Best Girl Nikki! We think we are so a-like and everyone is always telling us how different we are. Haha! Maybe with this album we could see our differences! Thanks for the opportunity!
Linsay says
Love the idea of this! I would have my adult son do this with his dad–
Louise says
What a super contest – thank you! I’m torn – either I’d do this album with my best friend who is also my (significantly younger!!) sister, or I’d do it with my niece, who shares my middle name.
Terry Billman says
This sounds like a wonderful class. I would love to share this with my mother.
Terry Billman says
I’d love to share this project with my mother!
machelle a says
I would love to do this class with all three of my kids.
JenRay says
I’ve always wanted to do an album like this with my hubby. Or my mom would be fun too. thanks for the chance to win!
Stephanie says
I would give anything if I could convince my 16-yr old daughter to do this with me! Winning a spot might make that happen 🙂 Thanks for the chance!!
Kris D. says
Definitely have to be my daughter. I can see the look on my son or husbands face if I proposed this to them….you know that “do you have 3 heads” kind of look.
Jenny Gilbert says
I would LOVE to do this class with my husband. The last year has been extremely hard on us and I would love to use this as a way to reconnect.
xoxo,
jenny-lynn
Sharon in TX says
I think I would try to do this with my two nieces, ages 12 and 10. They are starting to become interested in scrapbooking and it would be fun to mentor them through a cool project like this. And, I know it is something they would treasure forever
Leana says
I think I would like to do this with my 12 year old daughter. I could see doing one with my husband as well.
Charlene says
Sounds like a fun class. Would love to do this with my 17 year old daughter.
Rita says
If I were to do this class, I would try and do it with my Mum – a challenge because I live in the UK and she lives in my home country New Zealand. Being such a long distance apart is really hard for me at times – I miss her like crazy, so a project like this would be a great opportunity to bridge the distance and feel the love of my Mum
Caitrin says
Oh, Cathy, as always you are an absolute INSPIRATION! I would complete this project first with my Mom (I’m 27, she’s 53). Then I would tackle a second one with my husband.
Renee says
Of course, my first thought was how fun this would be to do with my children (both teenagers now) or my husband. However, if I won a spot in this class, I would complete the album with my Mom. She is in her late 70’s now and I think the album and the time we spent together working on it would treasured for years to come.
Caitrin says
My mom!
Julie McD says
Would totally love to do this with my Mom. It would something amazing to hold onto forever!
Melinda T says
I’d love to do this with my 2 sisters! I think it would be so fun! LOL, I can already imagine it! Yes, definitely tons of laughter, reflection and recalling and making new memories!
Lori P. says
This would be a thought provoking class. I am not sure who I would pick. Hmmm?? My Mom, One of my daughters, or even my sister. Maybe I would pick all of them to show all different ages. Hmmm???
Thank you for doing the give away!
Jodee says
I would love to do this with my husband and also with my sister! I think it would be a very different experience with each of them, but so much fun! Love this idea Cathy!
Tracy Scherrer says
Your projects always get down to the nuts & bolts – beautiful form follows function. I love this one – and I would ask my husband. We are so stinkin’ different, yet not. Lately he has had more time at home and the differences are shouting louder than the similarities. What a great way to turn that upside down.
Lisa says
I would love to do this with my husband. Right now the kids and I are living in Florida due to medical issues and he is living in Arizona where he is employed. This class would be a great way to keep us connected, and later to be able to look back and see our lives as they are right now.
Jocelyn Thompson says
Pick me, pick me, PICK ME!! I would love to do this class. I had thought earlier about possibly doing this with my sister. She is great! I love her and I honestly look up to her. But recently I moved my youngest son down to Savannah, GA to live with his older brother. (I live in Indiana.) I would do it with each one of them. I am really struggling with being so far away from both of them. This mama is happiest when her chicks are all in the nest with her. Ahh but growing up and leaving the nest is inevitable…I just want to remain close to them both through everything they do!
Bev W. says
I would love to do with is class with my mom or my sister!
Michelle says
My first thought is my hubby! I think our kids will appreciate seeing us outside of just mom and dad!
Julie E says
I would do this with my husband. A couple of years ago, I made matching “All about me” albums from your Big Picture class for both him and I. And they turned out AWESOME. But I want to know what he would say about me. It would be like pulling teeth to get it out of him, but I think it would be great.
Cheri says
I would consider doing this project with my sister Deanna who is also my best friend in the whole world even though we live horribly far apart. Or my oldest daughter Sarah who is 22, graduated in May and is working a job in D.C. So hard having her gone.
Becki says
I would love to do this with my 14 year old daughter, looks like another awesome class!
Beth says
I have a few different ideas for this. My first instinct would be to do this with either my mom or my 19 year old daughter. But then I thought…what if I did the book with the two of them (with me as just the person to compile the book)? That could be really cool, since my daughter is going to the same college my mom graduated from, and is majoring in the same thing!
Thanks, Cathy, for the chance to win this!
Marge J says
I’d love to do this project with my soon to be 16 yo daughter!
We’re two nuts from the same tree, yet have some very specific differences in
our approach to life!! Would be fun to document the quirks that make us ~ US!
Great project idea CZ!!
Kelly says
Wow Cathy – thanks for the chance to get a spot in the class. I would do it with my Mr11…. we are having a wee struggle with his behaviour at the moment, and at times I wonder if he really is my son! But for the most part, he’s such a great kid and I want to remind him that he is very much loved and valued. One of the reasons he and I clash so much is because (I am sure) because we are similar in so many ways – and I think this would be such a great way to document and show this stuff!!
northcarmen says
I would do this with my mom. 🙂
Carmen.
ruth tacoma says
I would do it with my mom.
carolyn says
Two people come to mind – my Mom or my husband. Mom would be more difficult since she lives 750 miles away!
Thanks Cathy for the chance to win a spot in this super fun class!!
ruth tacoma says
I would do it with my mom.
Lisa says
I would love to do this with one of my daughters 🙂 She is having a difficult time right now and needs to remember what we love about her.
Carol says
I wold LOVE to do this with my daughter. She’s ten and is showing a strong interest in scrapbooking/memory-keeping. I’d love to have an organized, classy scrapbook that we could both work on together. By sharing my love of crafting and documenting our thoughts/feelings, I feel like it would really strengthen our already good relationship. Thanks for the opportunity…
Monica says
I would love to do ths with my husband. We have had a lot of setbacks this year and we have grown closer. It would be nice to document things from different perspectives. Thanks for the opportunity .
Gina says
I can think of a few people. First, I thought of my daughter (but not sure, b/c she is only 9.5 years old), I don’t think my 11 year old son would be into it AT ALL – so not him, maybe my husband or my best friend.
At any rate, I loved both of your pages.
Roberta says
There are three family members that I would love to do this album with, First of all my mom who is 94. Her memory is starting to go so NOW is the time. Then my husband – we are VERY different, and last but in no way least is my 15 year old daughter – who in some ways is like me and some like her wonderful dad.
Thank you Cathy, for the chance to win.
Marilyn P says
I would love a chance to do this with my 24 year old daughter. I would probably use it again with my two older grandaughters who are 18 & 20. Would make an awesome Christmas extra!
Lauren says
THis class looks really great! I’d love to do this with my Mom, I don’t get to see her often enough and I think this would be fun to work on “virtually” together. Thanks for the chance!
Jessica says
I would love to do this with my daughter! And my hubby too!
Jill B says
the possibilities are endless. maybe i could work the class with my sister while simultaneously having our 11 year old daughter and 14 year old son could do it. How adorable would that be!!!! Christmas gifts for our mom and then a gift for me. I am going to have to try this even if I don’t win. I have never taken a class at BPC that I didn’t throughly love. Thanks for the opportunity!!
tape says
I’d do it with my fiancé 🙂
Julie says
what inspiring pages. I would love to do this with my hubby. i think i could def get him on board with it, even if it was just the journalling and picking photos he loved and id assemble.
grand idea cathy !
Michelle says
Thanks for the opportunity! I would do this with my husband to show our kids our different views/thoughts and how it’s ok to have different/same ideas!
Shanon Gibson says
I would do this with my husband for our girls to look at when they are older. We are so different yet love the same and I want to share that with our daughters. Of course, it might be therapy, too!
carol in seattle :) says
I’m ridiculously excited for this class! So many options for who to make a page with…my sister, my daughter, my husband, my sons….In the end though? My grandma and I share the same name and I’d LOVE to do this with her.
Leslie B says
Well, I plan on making several versions of this album. First, I would love to have my son & daughter do this together. He’s a senior this year and I have been trying to think of cool, personal things to do and capture this year before he heads off to college. He and his sister are very close & I think this would be an awesome project for the two of them. Next step would be me to do one with him and then another with my daughter and I. Lots to do!
Christyn4 says
My 20 year old daughter is planning her wedding and trying to include attributes from her father and my wedding, perhaps in an effort to insure success. Haha We have been married for 27 years, so I understand your recent forays into “therapy”. While we are incredibly close, very much alike in many ways, it would be interesting to document the ways we are different. She didn’t think my Laura Ashley wedding dress from the 80’s was exactly her style. Hmm..go figure.
Tonya F says
I would love to get my ten-year old son’s point of view! Even though I have been an educator in an elementary school for the last thirteen years, I have learned more from him than any other person.
I’d also love to get my mom to do one with me!
Antoinette says
I want to ask my good friend I’ve known since childhood to join me in this project.
Could be such a neat way for us to reconnect after not seeing each other for a few years 🙂
Jenny says
That’s a tough question. I would consider doing it with my husband. (While he teasingly calls me a “crapbooker”, he loves doing geneaology and adding journalling from family.) Although it might be fun to do it with my mom. I’m not sure we’ve ever really compared ourselves.
Sheryl says
I would love to do this with my husband. My second choice would be my mom. If I won a spot I would actually create two albums, one with each of them!
Robin says
I would have loved to do this with my Mom when I was your daughters age. Still would do it with her even though I am going to be 40 this next month. Better late than never!
Amy PG says
Honestly? I’d do this album with my brother as a gift to my mother. He would be a little difficult to convince, but I think in the end, he’d be game! 🙂
Chris says
I’d love to do this with my 17-year-old daughter who is graduating from High School this year. She is so very different from me, but in the most beautiful ways. I’d love to be able to document that.
Heidy Sutherland says
My husband we are very out of sorts at the moment and I don’t know why, this could be an interesting exercise to tey and work on sorting things out.
Julia (majic) says
I’d do this with my 19 year old daughter…mainly because she would actually take the time to do it with me! My 16 year old son would be horrified at this sort of thing; I don’t think it’s a teenaged boy kind of thing, lol!
Christina says
Me and my mum. She is suffering from dementia and it’s so important to get the details down before it’s too late. Thanks for a chance to win.
connib says
Huge toss up between my 16 yr. old daughter and my 70 yr. old mom. What the heck, maybe I’ll do it with both.
Sherri K says
This is such a great idea. I would love to do this with my son or my sisters.

I would love to do this class with my mom. What a great Christmas gift it would be – or Mother’s Day – or any day! Love this idea. Oh, and that picture of you & Aidan when she is little is adorable!
Sue says
What a great idea! My first though was to complete this with my 15-year-old son, but I think it would have to be my second project. I’d like to do this with my mom. She’s nearing mid-70’s. I’d like to have memories of her voice now, while she’s willing and able.
Jennifer Cardwell says
I would either do this with my friend Catty or my daughter Apryl. They both are just getting into scrapbooking, so I try to include them in my projects as often as I can. Thanks for the opportunity! moadibp2@aol.com
ElaineM says
I would choose my daughter, who is 22 and a recent college grad.
She’s the best and I think it would be fun to ponder some of these questions and ideas.
Thanks for the opp to win it!
Shannon says
This could be very fun to do a wedding scrapbook, half from my perspective, half from DHs. Thanks for the chance to win!
J. Melissa Mortimer says
I would definitely do an album with my soon-to-be 15 year old daughter. We are so alike and yet so different this would be a wonderful journey for both of us. I might even do a mini album of my identical twin boys together & see how alike (or not) they are. This is such a great idea! Thank you for the chance to win a spot in your class!!!! 😀
Rachel says
I would do this class with my gorgeous nine year old girl 🙂
Jacqueline says
I would so love to do this with my mother. I wasn’t very close to her when I was younger, but we have gotten so much closer since I had my son 2 years ago. I would love to see the difference in perspectives that we have!

I thnink it might be fun to do it with my brother or father. depends on which one will say yes and give me the time of day for something like this. My money is on my dad. He’s retired and sentimental 🙂
Nancylynn says
I’d do the album twice. Once with each of my children.
amy says
I would love to try this with my 79 year old mom—I’m 46 and just moved back to my hometown with my husband and son so this has afforded me new perspective living so close to her again!
Phyllis says
I’d do it with my 24 year daughter. She’s in the Army in Korea but I think we can make it work with internet and Facetime.
PatB says
I think I’d like to do this project with my husband!

I would love to do this class with my husband. He isn’t one to express his feelings so to get him to do this would be very special.
