How many candles is that again?

Cathy ZielskeCZ Life156 Comments

It's my birthday, today.

Yes, March 8, 1966 was a good year for babies.

And as you may or may not know, I celebrate by telling everyone I know. If I'm in line at Target, I tell the people in front of me and behind me.

It's really amazing what happens when you tell people it's your birthday. They wish you a happy birthday. It's totally awesome.

And let's face it, the best part is being alive for another year.

Hands down.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get to be really old and wrinkled.

Happy Birthday Cathy!!! I too love letting everyone know that it’s my birthday (or about to be my bday for about a month in advance, ha!). Have you ever gone to Disney on your birthday? If you wear the bday button, everyone, and I mean everyone, tells you happy birthday all day and it’s basically the best thing ever! Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday!!! It’s just fun to let everyone know that it’s your birthday!! I like to let everyone know it’s my birthday too…. I think it’s because it’s on Christmas day so I never get to have a party or celebrate it…. (see I’m having a little pity party for myself right now) so I let everyone know that I will celebrate it the whole month long… which I don’t really do…. but I sure do like to talk about it!!! Okay this comment is suppose to be all about you!!! Not me! Happy Birthday Cathy!! I think your Fabulous and I will have a glass of wine to celebrate you tonight!!!

Happy Birthday, Cathy! You are my favorite scrapbook designer, and I love reading your blog.

Oh, how I wish more people embraced their birthdays like you do! Way to go. May God richly bless you in the coming year!

Wishing you a very happy birthday and a great year! I totally agree about the best part is being alive for another year.

I’ll be turning 50 this year in July – I have a feeling that the hardest part about that is going to be fitting in the training for the marathan that I’ve signed up for this May – back in September I declared to several friends and family members that I’d like to run a marathon before I turn 50 (so now I’m pretty committed) – if you can keep your running injuries under wraps (so far, so good for me) and think you might be able to carve out enough training time, I encourage you to ponder setting yourself a 1/2 or full marathon goal – it’s definitely in line with moving more.

Happy Birthday!! I was also born in 1966. I have a few more months and I too will be turning 47.
The scary thing is I am starting to forget my age. The other day I was talking about birthdays and for a moment forgot if I was going to turn 47 or 48.

Have a wonderful, exciting day! No housework!!

I love when birthdays are celebrated! I think that women are taught that they should be ashamed of getting older, or it’s something to dread. I figure that every year I’m alive, is another good year. As a young adult, I remember throwing my mom a 50th birthday party, and getting yelled at by the florist, because “a woman should never tell her age.” It was a wonderful party, with family members from all over the country flying in to see my mom. That party has a few of my very favorite memories of my mom.

Happy Birthday, Cathy! I hope all of your birthday wishes come true!
My 43rd birthday is tomorrow. I will be scrapbooking, visiting, and eating my way through the day with my girlfriends, and celebrate with my hubby and kids on Sunday.

I bet you didn’t know you share the same birthday with Mrs Dawson, the principal of Johnson Elementary School in Ft Collins, CO. I only know because I read it in chalk on the sidewalk outside the school this morning. Maybe something you should consider for your front sidewalk?

    Have a wonderful day!

Ok, I was sure from your pics we were about the same age (39). Happy Birthday!
I like your way of telling everyone it’s your birthday. I was dreading turning 40 this year. I think I’m going to adopt your attitude and throw it out there for the world to see!
Also, thank you so much for your tutorials, your humor, and your scrapping inspiration. I was a traditional scrapper, then I went to making photo books, and now I’m trying Project Life and enjoying the flexibility. Thank you also for the freebies, as we’re on a tight budget and the most I could spend was on the page protectors for now. You have gained a blog reader!
