Halloween… holla! (can middle-aged women say that?)

Halloween… holla! (can middle-aged women say that?)

Hallo

The Halloween decorating has begun! (Wreath courtesy of Target and spiders hot glue gunned on, courtesy of me.)

Last night, Aidan and I hit Michael's. I'm still a little fuzzy on what happened. There was a lot of limping and I came home with cheesecloth, spray paint, spray adhesive, and… wait for it—GLITTER!

My first weekend project is this bad boy:

Next, I will be breaking out my still-in-the-box Silhouette Cameo to make several black bats to adorn my walls. Wish me luck. It's a whole new era of crafting for this simple scrapbooker.

And last but not least, I will be painting and glittering a letter 'Z'. I am afraid, but I'll try and post reports from the field. I can do this.

I cannot think of glitter without thinking of two things: 1) how much it scares me and 2) this clip from Dmitri Martin, which contains the greatest truth in the history of crafting about glitter at 2:30.

I wanted to thank everyone who posted ideas last week and shared their Pinterest boards with me.

Halloween is in the house. Yo.

Z

Speaking of Halloween…

My husband and I quote the Dmitri Martin glitter joke all of the time! It really is a lifelong commitment.

I made one of those ghosts last week and the glitter quote is awesome. Our seventeen year old son came home from a church youth activity with glitter on his head and we couldn’t stop teasing him for a week because it was STILL THERE every single day! I will definitely be sharing that line with him later today. Thank you for helping me appear funny to my children.

thanks for sharing the video. Not often that I get to start the day with a real good belly laugh. (love the glitter joke, but thought the best was the one right after it 😉
I don’t say this often enough — thanks for your blog and sharing your creativity. P. S. Are you up to date on Breaking Bad?

Oh my….. love the wreath, lovin’ the ghost BUT get that cameo out of its box!!! Life will never be the same again – we heart ours big-time.

Oh, and here’s a LOL for you – my own daughter is now doing Titanic at school – I’m SO glad I bought two copies of that book!

Some of your new products are a perfect example of why you should consider creating your own line of stamps like Ali Edwards does. You could have an awesome line of stamps!!!! Girl, think about it!
