Marveling at how well the human body works. I went from not being able to stuff my right foot into my fine Merrell shoe, to now wearing it all day long.
Ditching the clunky boot shoe for good.
Admiring the scar, or lack thereof, as my foot heals. Good job, Dr. Benton!
Beginning to move my toe up and down. It's slow, but I'll get there.
Driving my car again. I went to the grocery store and to the kids' school and to the gas station. Funny how exciting a trip to the grocery store on your own can be, but I'm here to tell you, it can.
Working on new classes for 2014 this week and feeling like there aren't enough hours in the day.
Watching The Voice on NBC. I love the fact that you're just seeing talented singers. No tolerating the freak shows.
Anticipating the season finale of Breaking Bad. Cole and I watch this show and the past two episodes have been nothing less than mind blowing. And brutal.
Loving Jimmy Fallon's Breaking Bad parody.
Laughing at the latest video from Ylvis, The Cabin. Anyone who shares a cabin with an extended family will appreciate this.
Reading the brand spankin' new book from Stephen King, Doctor Sleep. It's a sequel to The Shining. What? No freaking way!
Thanking the blog readers who recommended that I read Still Alice. Wow. Read it over the weekend and loved it.
Getting my hair cut for the first time since June. Holy shag, people. It's high time.
Wanting it to look like this, but not blonde and without the twerking.
Adjusting to using iOS 7. I have to admit, it's really pretty and I'm kind of in love with it.
Planning to test drive my just-arrived-yesterday Silhouette tonight. And yes, bats will be involved.
Preparing to bust out all of the Halloween decorations this week. It is never too early. Never.
Picking out the music for my next bee dance video. I'm fairly certain Daft Punk will be involved.

Love the list! If you are working on classes for 2014… Can you tell me if you will have any more classes in 2013? I have money to spend on a class that I need to use by November and a class of yours would be my first choice, of course. Glad to see you are improving.

No more classes for 2013! Working on 2 classes for 2014. One is a fitness related class, similar to Move More, Eat Well but with a big and hopefully fun twist, and the other is type related!

Can’t wait for the next bee dance video. It’s my favorite part of Halloween!

We are like virtual twins this week. Watching, anticipating, loving & reading all the same things! I haven’t decorated for Halloween in a few years, so I want to see what you do with the Silhouette. I might be inspired to get crafty.
Glad to see you up on your feet!

Left Neglected by Lisa Genova is also an excellent book if you are looking for something else to read.

I have Dr. Sleep coming from amazon. But I’m going to read The Shining first. I’ve never read it before because of the movie but since they’re supposed to be very different I thought I’d give it a try. Finished Under the Dome a couple months ago & loved it. Really disliked the TV series…good news about your foot! Happy healing!

Congratulations on your recent accomplishments! It’s wonderful to be able to put on a shoe again especially with the weather getting cooler. I started reading Still Alice but did not finish. I thought Left Neglected was better and couldn’t put it down. Take care Cathy!

SHARING that Persnickety Prints is having a 25% off sale Sept. 28-30 for those having to print 28+/- 8.5×11’s for Week in the Life! YAY!
Glad that you’re feeling better!

oh Cathy, you make me laugh out loud all the time. Thanks for that.

So glad you are feeling better and getting out and about!! I’m scared to read Still Alive because that’s what my mom is going through right now (and I’m her care giver) and it really sucks … but maybe I should read it because it would give me insight into what she’s going through ??? Hmmmm… Tell me what you think of Doctor Sleep! Now that I’m older I don’t do scary like I did when I was younger … is it scary?? I’m excited to check out the 2014 classes.

Glad you’ve broken free from the boot!! LOVED the Cabin video — this is what my hunting husband has in mind for his retirement …years away, but hey, I guess he can dream! My dream…a condo, downtown, right next to Great America Ball Park and walking distance to all the good eats! π
And we do share a cabin in the Adirondacks with the family — all 30 of us! At least it has running water!!!LOL

Congrats on being mobile again!! WOOT! Nothing like the freedom of being able to drive…even if it is just to the grocery store. Soooooo check out the Silhouette store. There is a 3D cemetery in there and I think of you EVERY TIME I SEE IT…is that creepy?

Was wondering when you’d comment on the new iOS design!!

I love that you love iOS7! I used to use Helvetica Neue as our corporate font so it feels like it’s imprinted into my psyche, now even more so with iOS7. π

Thanks for the info. Both of those classes sound great to me. In the mean time perhaps I will try a Tracy Clark class. Is there one you would recommend?

I am so late to this show, but I have a good reason….
On September 25th I was lucky enough to be attending Stephen King’s release party for Dr. Sleep in Boulder, CO! It was uh.may.zing. And part of your ticket price nabbed you a free 1st edition hard cover copy. (Bummer I wasn’t one of the lucky 250 that found a signed book in their hands.) I haven’t started it yet as I have a couple books from the library I need to finish and return. Too bad too – this snow storm that has left us snowed in and without power for 2 days would have been the perfect time to knock out some reading! (Which I did…just not Dr. Sleep yet.)
