Another chunk of time has passed and gratitude documentation has ensued. I actually just sat down last night and did a week in one fell swoop. I had planned to do a little every day but so far it hasn’t happened that way.
But make no mistake, this is happening.
(Have you noticed how that is a saying now? This is happening? Or just this?)
Did you know that the phrase totes ma goats is also happening in the Zielske house? Well now you do.
Also, is one fell swoop something that just old people say?
Onto my gratitude.
I gotta tell ya… once I get started on this project, I start to really love it more and more. This is the kind of album I want to look at years from now, or even months from now. Or even the day after it’s done. I’m planning to save all the files as JPEGs and upload them to make a book at Artifact Uprising. Speaking of AU, they just released a new app for iPhone that lets you build softcover mini books right on your phone. I made a book laying on my couch on Wednesday night. Super excited to see how it turns out.
I am thankful for an awesome company that cares about design, the environment and the beauty in life. (Side note: I have no gain from promoting them other than the gain of knowing if you make a book, you will think it rocks, too.)
Please share your links today. It was fun to look at what some of you are doing to celebrate your 30 Days.
It’s not too late to join in, either! All my 30 Days products are on sale today for 30% off as part of the Designer Digitals’ 4th Quarter sale.
Have a great weekend, everyone.

Loved seeing your pages this week, Cathy, and your journaling always makes me smile. I am loving this project so much – love the way it has me looking at things around me and noticing those that I’m so very thankful for!

More great pages!
I’m thankful for you spreading the word about Artifact Uprising! Both sets of parents are getting picture books for Christmas! I was playing around with the mobile app the other night, but I don’t have enough pictures on my phone (I’ll have to start letting them stay awhile longer). So, I’ll do the web version, but it’s such a great project – and I love the 5×5 size.

Thank you for sharing your ’30 Days’ with us! I am curious as to where you got the cardboard fox that is in day 14?

Dawn, check your photo stream! I like you delete my pics every week, but you may have enough on your photo stream!

Cathy, thanks for sharing this post! I loved your, “But make no mistake, this is happening” comment. I, too, haven’t been able to do my 30 Days of Thankful each day. But, now I am motivated to work on it some more, because “this is happening” for me too! Thanks also for sharing your pages, which give me more ideas on journaling and photos! Have a fantastic weekend!

Hey neighbor! I’m gratful I met you, Dan and Aidan at Mitch and Jake’s holiday party last year. It led me to this website and I’m totally diggin’ your blog. Maybe next time I’m out for a walk I’ll run into you. It could happen. 🙂
cathy says
oh YUM!

Love that photo of Aidan and Cole. I feel like I’ve watched them grow up and it is so funny to see where they are today. I’m currently in those early phases of “empty nest” with kids away at college, then home, then away. It will be a real change for your marriage when you get to the point of having time for just the two of you again! 🙂

Thanks for the link to Artifact Uprising, I have some ideas for gift books! And I like the term “one fell swoop” especially if it refers to holiday shopping or cookie making. One local newsperson got it wrong though, he was reading script and said “one swell foop”! I totally cracked up!!

I was looking at some of my older special edition magazines and came across earlier pictures of Aiden and Cole it’s so fun to see them now and how they’ve grown!

Sigh. I know. They have, huh?
