New product releases

Just a few things this weekend in the store, first up, Right Now Cards Brushes and Stamps No. 01.

CZ_RightNowCardsNo01PREV

This set comes as PNG and ABR. The images come in black only but you can break them up to create multi colored elements, as I have done in the above sample.

PHOTOSHOP QUICK TIP | EDIT PNGS TO CHANGE ELEMENT COLORS Open any PNG file. Use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to make a selection around the element you'd like to change. Once you have the selection, go to Layer > New > Layer Via Cut and it will place it onto a new layer. Change the color as you like via Edit > Fill Layer. Don't forget to make sure Preserve Transparency is checked.

Also, a new set of calendar cards, these ones featuring a Monday week start.

If you prefer a Sunday start, find those cards here.

Thanks for making the Monday start cards! When I’m working with these cards, is there a way to make color the area surrounding the month but still leave the text (i.e. numbers) black? Similar to how the cards look in the display above?

Apparently, I just need to learn how to read the photoshop quick tips already provided – I think I got this now.

Okay…I don’t have this at all! When I select the text / numbers and bring them to a new layer, then edit and fill the layer black, it is covering the text / numbers and making a big black box. Any insight?

Yes! The steps above work the same. Open a calendar you want to edit and see the following:

PHOTOSHOP QUICK TIP|EDIT PNGS TO CHANGE ELEMENT COLORSOpen any PNG file. Use theRectangular Marquee Toolto make a selection around the element youd like to change. (in this case, the upper black area around the month, just hold down the mouse and drag from the left to the right and go up all the way. Once you have the selection, go toLayer New Layer Via Cutand it will place it onto a new layer. Change the color as you like viaEdit Fill Layer. Dont forget to make surePreserve Transparencyis checked.
