With a much needed break in the work action this past weekend, I decided to play a little catch up with my 2015 Project Life album. The nice thing about the monthly approach is that I feel much less pressure to be on some kind of time frame. I mean, I have a whole month to figure it out, right? It’s no big deal if two pass by. I can play catch up.
I took a ridiculous number of photos in August (1,146) but most of those were from ultimate frisbee tournaments. I really need to go through my photo library and do some major culling of images. Some day, right? Here are my digital pages for August.
I didn’t do a ton of journaling for August. I figured the photos tell enough of a story and for me, that’s all I want. People ask me how I’m able to pare down 1,146 photos to just a handful and my answer is usually this: I just don’t overthink it.
My goal is not to document every last thing we do/see/think/taste/experience. I just want a gathering that reflects our life in these modern times. And that, my friends, is exactly what I’m doing with it.

Love that you are letting the photos do the ‘talking’. I sometimes feel defeated by the words and then end up not doing anything! Will try this route and enjoy it more!! Thanks Cathy, you are the best! 🙂

I always look forward to your monthly posts – the inspiration is great! I really like seeing how you use your templates in different ways. Love the long space with the ultimate team photo and the crazy kid flying in from the side.
I’m going with a weekly approach broken up with your monthly cards. And – no joke – I actually did a whole week in 45 minutes one evening after work. It was kinda awesome. And mind boggling.

Thanks, Debby!
That kid flying in? Yep, that would be my son. 😉
Debby D says
Huh. I think I just called your kid crazy. Somehow, I think that’s okay.
Cathy Zielske says
Lol. If the shoe fits… 😉

Your pages are always so inspiring and thanks so much for including the supplies list plus I’m glad Designer Digitals could tell me I already owned most of them. 🙂 I haven’t finished 2014 yet let alone started 2015 but it’s going to be a monthly one.
