Loving how much Dan is absolutely loving his student teaching experience. He’s teaching 6th grade math and while he hopes to be getting a job in the 3rd or 4th grade levels, he has jumped in with so much enthusiasm and passion and it’s very cool to see. Also, he wears cool shoes and socks when he teaches. (Shoes from Bucketfeet, socks from Uncommon Goods.)
Lamenting that last night saw the season finale of The Walking Dead. I love that show for two reasons: one, I’m a fan of apocalyptic themes and zombies in general, and two, it’s something I watch with Cole. Time with him… it’s something I don’t take for granted. That said, it was really hard to watch and I’ll never look at Jeffrey Dean Morgan quite the same way again.
Taking an online course called Pinfinite Growth with Melyssa Griffin. It may surprise you to know that I don’t know everything about running an online business efficiently. It’s been a long time since I’ve taken any professional development courses and I was so impressed with a free webinar that Melyssa put on last week, I went ahead and signed up. Right now, my head is swimming a bit with ideas but I’m excited about some new things to try in this online small business world.
Planning something very cool that was inspired by the aforementioned workshop. I’m going to be unveiling a free resource library for my newsletter subscribers. It will include some cool stuff: freebies, handouts on all manner of scrapbooking topics, digital packages—just stuff that might be useful and I’ll be adding to it all the time. (If you don’t subscribe, please do so today so you don’t miss out!)
Working on a new special issue for Scrapbook & Cards Today. I’m in the very early planning stages of a special issue about my favorite scrapbooking topic: page design. While it’s going to be several months in the making, I’m working right now on planning the issue and making assignments to an amazing group of scrapbookers.
Feeling grateful for how well my new stamps have been received. The preorders for the new Everett collection will be collected until Friday morning. Also, I’m now taking major credit cards in my shop! I know not everyone uses or wants to use PayPal, so I added a new payment option for my customers.
That’s what’s happening presently around these parts.
What’s happening with you?

WHAT ON EARTH IS THAT VIDEO THAT GOT STUCK IN MY COMMENT?!?! I’m afraid to click on it to see it! Rest assured, whatever it is, I did NOT include it—how did this happen?
Cathy Zielske says
So weird. This has been happening lately. Do you mind if I delete that comment until I know what is going on???
And yes, I love that book! : )
Cathy Zielske says
No worries, Kay! This happened the other day and I’m looking into it. But per your comment: I bought that book on audio and LOVED it. SO motivating while you’re out on a walk, I tell ya!
Julie says
Ok- now i’m dying to know what book?? Do tell! 🙂

I’m afraid even Negan can’t ruin Jeffrey Dean Morgan for me. He’s yummy.

Hi Cathy – haven’t seen your monthly pages for a while. Are you still posting these?
Cathy Zielske says
Um yeah… well…. I haven’t started them yet. LOL. It’s true! the SHAME, right? I’m actually considering creating a class to show people—literally—how you can start with nothing and set up a system wherein you knock out multiple months at once. 🙂 It’s on my list!
Marcie L says
Oh, now that would be awesome!
Amanda says
HI Cathy – I have missed not seeing your monthly pages. Are you still posting/doing them?
Amanda says
Yes – I would love that course. Love all your courses so bring it on. Shame! Shame! Shame on you!! Glad the website is working again. Hope the computer is too.

You are a phenomenal teacher so I am very excited about the resource center you’re planning. I have taken several of your classes and have learned so much. Plus your materials are incredibly detailed that they provide a reference for when I forgot how to do something.
Thanks Cathy!
