The summer issue of Scrapbook & Cards Today is live and available today online. My column, Design Your Life, features two layouts and design tips that will help you become a better page designer. Design isn’t some mysterious thing reserved just for people who went to design school. If that were the case, I’d be completely out of luck! (Read: I have a degree in journalism.)
That said, here’s a peek at my two layouts from the issue. First up, a summer trip to Slovenia:
I have a corresponding digital template in my shop that looks like this:
And you can also download a set of printable, punchable circles (scroll down on the linked page to find them!) to create your own version for free!
Next up, an 8.5 x 11 page that I really, truly love:
This is the kind of page I would do over and over again. A small story. A tiny bit of stamping (using my Fave Slab serif alpha stamps). Some fun patterned paper and a bunch of small squares. Oh, and white space. Glorious framing white space.
And yes, I turned this into a template, too!
Those are the two pages featured in my summer column. To get the full design scoop, read online today plus check out the plethora of free downloads and bonus content by clicking here.
Here’s to tons of inspiration online, or if you’re really feeling adventurous, consider subscribing today! We print on the nicest paper (seriously) and it’s so cool to have real pages to flip through.
Or you can check out your local Barnes & Noble, too! Scrapbook & Cards Today is now available in stores across the country!
New in the store this week, Typesets: Lake Life, a set of lake-themed digital stamps. These will also be available in clear stamp form in about 3 to 4 weeks in my shop. Subscribe to my newsletter to find out about how you can preorder them in the next week.
Simply amazing! You are such an inspiration! I can tell how much you love what you do…I love what you do! Thanks for sharing your talents with us ❤️
Are they available in 12 x 12. Wish you would offer 2 options. I’m still hanging on to 12 x 12
Nothing is better than a real-live print scrapbooking magazine. I miss those Simple Scrapbooks and Creating Keepsakes days. Thanks for sharing!
