This simple 6 x 4 album project is moving along nicely. I already have surpassed the progress of 2015, so I think this approach works for me. Here are a few more pages from the album.
You know it’s been cold here, right? I know it’s been cold all over, but holy nut balls, when it gets below zero you feel it in your bones. Or you don’t leave the house. Loved seeing my girl’s SnapChat image of having frozen eyelashes post one of her ultimate team workouts.
I mailed out Christmas cards last week, but this year we decided not to do a family newsletter. Some years you got it in ya, and some you don’t.
I’m thinking the foot of snow we have on the ground will likely stick around for Christmas. Cold or not, I always love a bit of white on the 25th.
On tap for today: heading south to pick up my girl for the holidays and later today, we ice sugar cookies! Yesterday I posted a handful of clips to my Instagram story featuring the making of the dough. If you’ve never tried my sugar cookie recipe (not mine at all, but got it from my cookie master Susan!), while it is an undertaking, it is so worth it! Honestly, even if you just take a few tips away such as 1.) rolling out your dough between parchment paper and chilling it before cutting cookies, and 2.) using two 5/16th craft dowels on either side of the parchment to guide the rolling out of the dough to even depths, those will help the process.
Back soon with more pages but until then…

I like your style and it looks easy but if I want to try it, it’s much more diffucult!

Love your Christmas album! So cute! Do you work on one day each day or do you do a few pages in a row at one sitting please?
PS. Is Aidan no longer together with Aidan…?

I try to do a few at a time, every two days. Like today, I will catch up with 18 and 19. 🙂

Next year this is what I am going to do! Beautiful Cathy. Simple and classy. That is you.

Your album is so great…and great for those of us without big Christmas stories to tell. Most of our December days are pretty mundane.
