Happy World Card Making Day, Y’all!

Cathy ZielskeCards69 Comments

It’s here. World Cardmaking Day. And this marks the very first WCD that has found me, Cathy Zielske, a firmly entrenched maker of said cards.

I still cannot get over how much fun this stuff is.

To celebrate this fine day, I’ve created a card that features many techniques I have learned lo these past many months! A little ink blending. A little emboss resisting. A little die cutting.

And this card turned out better than I had hoped!

I’m seriously so excited to have added card making to my crafty world in 2017. I’ve had so much fun immersing myself in the card world, and this is coming from a person who NEVER thought I would enjoy making them. Never say never, my friends.

Here is my video tutorial, which is also feature on the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog today, as well!

And now for a fun giveaway! Scrapbook & Cards Today is offering its very first online card e-course and today I’m giving away a spot to one of my blog readers. I have 4 different cards featured in this online class, one includes a complete video tutorial showing you how I made the card.

To enter for a chance to win, simply leave me a comment today and tell me that you want to take the class! I’ll pick a winner on Sunday night! NOTE: The giveaway is now closed! Congrats to Kay, who was the winner!

And with that, I bid you a very crafty, creative World Card Making day! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go make a card.

I hadn’t made a card for at least 10 years…. until you started making them this year. By the time you were making your “Cathy makes a card #3” video, I was (re)hooked! Thank you for reinvigorating my love for this craft. And also for introducing me to “all the things”. It’s been fun to be creative again on a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ space. The only downside is my credit card balance. But so worth it! Thank you for sharing your enthusiasm and creative skills.
