November is almost here, friends, and with it comes a little project I’ve been doing since 2012 called 30 Days of Thankful. The idea behind it is simple: document something you’re grateful for every day for a month. Or every other day. Or every week. Take a photo for each item. Or don’t. This project is really what you make of it and it is designed to do one thing and one thing only: to help you remember all that is good, from the tiniest of things in this life to the most humongous, to everything in between.
Today’s blog post is designed to give the scoop on this project, share resources to help you join in, and to answer any questions you may have. Shall we start with a video overview? It’s short and gives you a quick peek at what I’ve been doing since 2012 with this project.
There are so many ways you can choose to join in! If you need some ideas, I’ve got some!
You could choose to sign up for my self-paced e-Course, 30 Days of Thankful. In this class, you get everything you need* to create a 6 x 4 album to document your month. This includes all printables and digitals, along with all the video instruction (both inspirational videos and step by step lessons) to help you complete the project. I designed it for anyone who wants a more immersive experience. And you can take $5 off the registration price through November 1! Price discount will be reflected at checkout! Click on the image below to learn more.
*you’ll need to supply your own album and cardstock!
OR, if you’re not up for a full e-course, last year I offered a mini-course at a great price and you can learn all about that here! The mini course has a set of materials and an inspiration video to get you started for just $9.99.
Next, if you’re not already a member, join my 30 Days of Thankful Facebook group. It’s open to anyone who would like to do this project and share with others.
If you’d like to peruse blog posts from over the years on this subject, click here.
Or, you can pick a template set that appeals to you and just jump in! As far as products go, I have many to choose from, depending on your style or taste. Here’s a brief run down of each album set. Click on each image to see in the shop!
This is the first complete mini album set I created. It contains everything you need to create an album, both traditionally or digitally. The size? 6 x 6. All printable PDFs come as part of this package.
This series is essentially the same design, just different sizes (6 x 6, 6 x 4 and 6 x 8). These are exclusively layered templates and can be used digitally for a printed book or printed out for a traditional album, after adding your journaling, for a more hybrid approach.
This set includes all printable PDFs as well as the digital files to complete a 4 x 4 mini album using a We R Memory Keepers album as the intended home. I have used the We R Memory Keepers 4 x 4 album for three of my years. It’s the perfect, tiny home for these pages!
This was the set I used for my 2016 album and again, it contains files for both digitally inclined folks, as well as those who just want to print the PDF pages, trim them out, add the stories and go.
And finally, this is my design for 2017. Again, it’s designed for both digital and traditional memory keepers in mind! I also offer a set of just digital stamps with the overlays.
You can also see the other products (digital stamp sets, a few card sets) by clicking here.
If you have any questions about these products or need any help, just leave me a comment! Happy to help! See you in November for #cz30daysofthankful!
Note: please use that hashtag if you join in, so I can see what you are sharing!

I’m playing along this year. It’s one of my favorite projects!
Cathy Zielske says
Yes! Glad to have you doing it, Heidi!
carlajinAR says
I am so hoping to play along this year.
Cathy Zielske says
Give it a try! 🙂
Jan says
Gonna give it a try this year – already have the original CZ version all printed and in an album from another year when the best of intentions didn’t pan out. Maybe this year’s the one…
Cathy Zielske says
Yay! You can do it!!!
Michelle Bradtke says
Hi Cathy: I am fairly new to hybrid scrapping – just now taking Ali Edwards’ Hybrid class online – still on Lesson 3 (-;
My question is, will I be able to follow your e-class and the video instructions? I would want to do the main kit for this year. It looks like a lot of fun. Thanks, Michelle
Michelle Bradtke says
Hi Cathy, I’m new to hybrid/digital scrapping. I started the Ali Edwards Hybrid class and am only on Lesson 3 (-;
Do you think your class will be too advanced for me? I have some experience with PSE and digital templates.
I love the gratitude theme!
Thanks, Michelle
Cathy Zielske says
It’s really designed for beginners! : )
Kinjal says
Hey Cathy,
Loving your 2017 kit! I’ve been following along since 2012:
2012 – 3×4 album
2013 – Just a list
2014 – 6×6 book
2015 – 4×4 WRMK album
2016 – 3×4 Travelers Notebook
2017 – 6×4 size (I think!)
It’s my most favourite project of the year (even more than december daily, shh, don’t tell anyone!) I did wonder though, will you share an updated Letter/A4 jotter for notes like you’ve done on previous years? Those keep me on track throughout the month and I generally end up making my album in December. No worries if its not available this time around though 🙂
Cathy Zielske says
Hey Kinjal! So, I don’t have an A4 jotter ready to go this year! Sorry. Been under the gun on a lot of other deadlines and brain fog! 🙂
Kinjal says
That’s okay, imagine life has been super stressful with the website issues and I’m part of your FIT workshop so new message on Wednesday that always needs prep, phew. Happy to use one of the older ones you’ve got up. Thanks again 😀
Terrie says
I love this idea! I’m going to give it a try this year 🙂
Shawn says
I am committed to this this year…I need to center myself better and gratitude is the best way to do that!!
Leisa owens says
Super dumb question- where do I buy the album with the divided pages??
Cathy Zielske says
Not dumb! There are a coupled I’ve used!
Here is the 4 x 4 gold album from We R Memory Keepers (it comes with divided in 4 x 4): https://ldli.co/e/jq1qz1
Or, the Snap Album I used in my e course can be found here: https://www.scrapbook.com/store/mw-4104.html
Leisa owens says
Thanks – are the page protector/dividers also sold at these places?
Cathy Zielske says
The SNAP album comes with page protectors, as does the 4 x 4. But you may need to order extra pages.
Which album are you thinking of making? Are you thinking of taking the full ecourse? I apologize if this is confusing in any way.
Leisa owens says
I’m going to sign up for the full course- I need all the help so can get ?
Cathy Zielske says
There is a complete supply list that tells you what you need! : )
Leisa owens says
I just signed up!
Cathy Zielske says
Yay! If anything is confusing just give me a shout!
Dawn Carpenter says
This will be my 3rd year playing along. Even though I’m a Canadian gal -I love doing this project in November along with you – it totally helps inspire the Christmas spirit! And such a great reason to break out my CZ stamp 30 days of thankful stampset. This year I’m going to incorporate it as part of Project Life 2017. Thank you for being you 🙂
Sonja Akins says
Cathy, are the two classes you’re offering the same two I already have? I’m thinking so, but want confirmation before the price goes up!
Cathy Zielske says
Yes, they are the same classes that you already have. Nothing new here
Sonja Akins says
Thx! ?
Janie says
I love your 30 days of thankful. I never finish but what I do have I’m thankful for!
Lori P says
Okay Okay, I hear ya Cathy! I decided today that I have to do this. I have to find time to scrapbook/to write down memories. I have to find time to have gratitude and happiness. Making this album will hopefully get me back in the swing, take a little break from everything else and get me back to looking at the great things in life. I have been so busy helping my family (kids, parents and more) that I need something to take a big breath with. And Cathy, just to let you know, I “almost” opened my living room curtains this morning while I was wrapped in a towel. Almost. Whew!
