Even though this month my scrapbook focus is on 30 Days of Thankful, I’m also gearing up to create my fifth December Daily album. There is a really awesome Facebook group for Ali’s December daily community, and it’s fun to see how excited people are and to see all of their preparations. One of the things I’ve seen is people creating these half circles and then punching them to place right into their 6 x 8 albums.
I thought this was so fun that I decided to design a cut file download to give away for free today for anyone who would like to have a little injection of merry into their album projects. The reason I decided to do this is because I realized that last year I bought a sturdy 6-hole punch designed for planners, and it also works with my 6 x 8 album from Ali’s collection.
I just wanted to design something that would look cute in my album and could be punched and popped right in. To start the download click on the image below and the file should automatically unzip but if not, you’ll need to unzip it to get at the contents.
The little reindeer also coordinates with my Coolest Yulest stamps and dies from Simon Says Stamp. (Note: these sets are mostly sold out but they are being re-ordered, so if you are interested click on the notify me button on each product page.)
I also purchased a Fjalla Desk Organizer from IKEA to contain all of my December Daily materials. For $6.99, you can’t go wrong.
I don’t always use everything in the kits, but this is the first time I’ve had the entire kit on my work surface, ready to go. I still have stuff from last year’s kit that I’ll probably bring up too. Plus I have a number of years of my own digital designs that I will mix and match into the project.
If you’re curious to see some of my December Daily projects from over the years you can browse them here.
And speaking of my digital designs…

I have a Portrait machine that I’ve not cut a single file on. Yet. And I’ve had it for 3 years. Bad Monika. Maybe I’ll have the guts to install it and set it up now so that I can use your perfectly perfect circle element to add to my DD. Thanks bunches!

Thank you! Please consider turning some of your Christmas brushes into SVG files!
Cathy Zielske says
I have never thought of that, and we don’t really sell SVG files at Designer Digitals. Would this be for using with an electronic cutter?
Michele Anderson says
There is a “cutting files” section on Designer Digitals. They are SVG files. I use them on my Cricut. I downloaded your file above and cut loaded it into my Cricut software. I do not have a Silhouette, but as long as they are SVG files they load in. Many of your brushes would be awesome as cut files!
Cathy Zielske says
Well you learn something new every day! lol. I have no idea! Can you load PNG files into your Cricut?
Cathy Zielske says
Hey Michelle, I just found this video on how to load PNG files into Circuit design space. Is this helpful?
Melinda says
Thanks so much Cathy! This is great!
ina says
Thank you for including png files for those of us without an electronic cutter. I will figure out a way to recolor and print if it’s the last thing I do. Thanks again!
Cathy Zielske says
You are welcome! If you open it in Photoshop, and shoes a color with the color picker that you like, you can just go to edit > fill…. And add color that way!
Barbara says
So adorable! I love your Christmas items! Thank you for this idea and freebie!
Tammy says

Hello Delia, I am going to work on that this weekend! I just ran out of time last weekend as I’m working a little bit more slowly with this cast on.

Thank you! Have loved that little reindeer since you created him. Will cut and place this as my first page of my DD book this year!
Kirsty Vittetoe says
I don’t know how to use any of these, but they sure look awesome!
Cathy Zielske says
You can use them with any electronic cutting system, or you could open up the PNG file in Photoshop or Photoshop elements and recolor it, print and cut it out by hand!
Jill S. says
Thanks for a fun half-circle!
JoLynn says

Abby says
