Today I’m excited to announce that registration opens for my year-long workshop devoted to tracking and documenting your self care, Fit 2018. This marks my seventh year of offering a course designed to help you basically check in with your self every month and work towards doing what is best for your personal health and fitness. Through tracking, monthly messages and creative prompts, and a warm and supportive community, I will help motivate you to stay focused all year on what you need to simply do better.
Here’s a short trailer!
New for 2018 is a monthly podcast message designed to keep you motivated and inspired. I share my story with you and encourage you to really embrace what is true for you and what needs to change. I think being honest with yourself is really important in this process and that is one of my personal goals for you. Also new this year will be a monthly creative prompt, designed to keep you connected to this process and to add a little creative play into tracking your story of health and fitness.
If anything, 2017 really hit home in a big for me about how important self-care is, as I recover from my broken hand. It’s not just about a number on the scale, people. It’s about so much more than that. In 2018 I am taking a much more holistic approach to my self care and I invite you to join me and put yourself at the top of your To Do list. We have to fill ourselves up first in positive ways in order to give to others, and connecting to what you need to be healthy and centered is one step toward that goal. And trust me, it is always going to be a work in progress. This is a lifestyle shift, not an end game.
And of course I provide tons of materials designed to help you track your year. Whether you choose to use a 6 x 8 scrapbook, a standard size Travelers Notebook, or simply just incorporate tracking into your current planner system, the class materials are designed to help you succeed!
I invite you to join me for 2018. There was a period this fall where I thought to myself, “Am I really qualified to lead this class?” It’s not like I had some great before and after photo. It’s not like I ran a 10K or did some other amazing feat of athleticism during the past year. But I realize my skill is in connecting to the truth and aspiring to do what is needed, and that, above all, can be the key to help so many of us make different choices and live healthier lives.
We also will create a very warm and supportive community in our closed Facebook community. Many students feel the community support is one of the best benefits from being part of Fit. I fully agree.
There is no magic pill. There is only the truth and what we are willing to work on. Notice how perfection isn’t part of that equation. It’s really about showing up and caring about you!
SIGN UP TODAY FOR JUST $26 FOR THE YEAR! This introductory rate will end on January 1. For the complete course description and a peek inside the classroom click on the image below!

This makes me so happy! Let’s do this, 2018!
Cathy Zielske says
My sentiments exactly!
Barb W says
The energy in the FIT fb group at the beginning of the year energizes me… and the understanding, support and genuine caring in the FIT community sustains me the rest of the year. I’m so glad this is happening again in 2018. Thank you, Cathy!
Cathy Zielske says
I agree Barb! I also love the community and how they have continued to show up throughout the year!
Linda Mc says
Hi Cathy, Quick question–Can you explain a bit how the documentation works–I have a Traverler’s Notebook.
Thx, Linda
Cathy Zielske says
I sure can! You will get inserts every month that are a total of eight pages (two spreads folded in half) and the centerspread is weekly list for tracking, broken down by every day of the week. There are spots for journaling, bullet journaling, a space to include a photo or graphic of your choice, a place to list your goals, and your health and well-being focuses.
Plus there are bubble trackers and menu planners in the format for a travelers notebook that you can adapt in anyway you like!
These travelers notebook files come in both printable PDF and layered Photoshop documents so you can customize them anywhere you’d like if you are a Photoshop user!
They are for a standard size only! Hope this helps!
Cathy Zielske says
You could always email me and I can show you a lo-res image of what the travelers notebook pages look like!!!
Linda Mc says
Sounds wonderful! Not a photoshop user but the pdfs would be great.
gabbe says
Hurrah! I so need this! i was injured this fall too & stuck on the couch for 8 weeks with back spasms and a severely sprained ankle & calf! looking forward to being in this together with everyone!
Cathy Zielske says
Oh man, I am sorry to hear that and can definitely relate to the frustration of being injured! But yes this group over the years has become a real great support community! I’m looking forward to it very much!
Jayne says
Any chance we could change the colors on the printables? That would be especially nice.
Cathy Zielske says
Yes! However that has to be done in Photoshop or Photoshop Elements! I have a whole series of beginner Photoshop tutorials that show you how to do just that! But the principles themselves are adobe acrobat files and cannot be edited. Hope that helps! 🙂

Cathy Zielske says
All you need to do is print and trim cards that you want to use for this project! There is a guide to the materials in the welcome lesson that make sense of all of it!
Sharla says
If I have an ancient version of photoshop elements will I be able to utilize everything?
Cathy Zielske says
Indeed you will Sharla. Your interface might look a little different than what you see in my tutorials, but the course steps of how to work with the files has not changed in the last three years. And I’m always here to help!
Stefanie says
I’m ready to jump back into this class for 2018! I think a traveler’s notebook would be ideal, but never bought one. Is the standard size 11cm x 21cm?
Cathy Zielske says
Standard size is: Size: 8.4×5.1 inches (21.3×13 cm).
🙂
Stefanie says
Thank you!
Lisa says
I couldn’t resist 😉
alexandra moazeni says
So would we be able t personalize the ToDo and Fit Trackers if we want to. I don’t have Adobe Elements.
Thanks in advance
Cathy Zielske says
Happy to have you!!!
Cathy Zielske says
All of the PDFs will print out a blank so you can fill them in as needed, but if you want to change any of the colors you would need Adobe Photoshop elements!
Alexandra says
Thanks, Cathy. You rock.
Michelle Bradtke says
I think I need to do this, and I love the fact that it is ALL YEAR, not just January! Plus I have a brand new traveler’s notebook from Foxy Fix that is still in the box. I think it’s time to break out that bad boy and dedicate a notebook to Fit 2018. The Gratitude class was my first with CZ design, so I have no doubt I will also get my money’s worth with Fit 2018. Thanks, Cathy!
Cathy Zielske says
Yay! I would love to have you!!!
Melissa Miller says
I registered tonight and I’m super excited for this! I had already started setting some goals for self-care and my health (not just weight loss) for 2018, so this couldn’t have come at a better time. I’ve ordered the class album kit and can’t wait for it to arrive so I can start setting it up.
Cathy Zielske says
Welcome!!! Glad to have you!
Paula says
I really like the travelers notebook idea. I’ve been wanting to try that format.
I’m not a big FB fan. Will the Facebook group be a closed group like it was in your other class?
Cathy Zielske says
Yes Paula it is a closed group. No one can see what the members share and post inside the group. They can see that the group exists but that’s it. I always get people asking to join who are not students so I always cross check with my registration list and only admit students of the actual class!
Kara says
Every year you have the right message for me. 2017 was such an incredibly tough year for me – and I have vowed to focus on self-care in 2018. I’m so glad to travel through another year with you Cathy!
Paula says
Great!
Paula DeVoy says
Great! Thanks, Cathy.
Cathy Zielske says
Yay! Glad to have you back!
Margotma says
Hey Cathy, I’m in Australia and wondering how the costing goes. $26 per month or a one off fee. M.
Cathy Zielske says
$26 for all 12 months. A one time registration fee for 12 monthly messages/lessons plus all the materials. One off!
Kimberly says
I am interested but…I’m not a scrapbooker. I don’t even have a color printer at home. I know, I know! I don’t even know how I found your blog initially but you’re funny, creative, and authentic so I stayed.
My question: is there a ‘show your work’ element to the class? Because I’ve been a complete shmoo in 2017 and I could use the camaraderie. But I haven’t seen my glue stick since 2016.
Diane says
Glad to be back for 2018. I ran out of gas in 2016 and am super inspired by Intention and self care. I am currently a Happy Planner aficionado and am wondering if any others in the roup are adapting the Traveler’s Journal files for their planners.
Cathy, I adore your video and audio messages and how you keep it real. Thanks.
Cathy Zielske says
Hey Diane! Glad to have you back! Have you joined our Facebook group yet? I think I saw someone mention happy planner, or maybe it was passion planner, but either way you may find someone who uses what you use!
Cathy Zielske says
Hey Kimberly, you don’t HAVE to show anything. I think my monthly messages are good for motivation, but… I feel like if you were not able to print any of the materials, even just to create a traveler’s notebook, you would be missing out on some of what the class offers.
That said, the Facebook group is rad. And we talk about everything and share ideas for self care, recipes, exercise, whines as needed, etc. I think students have said that is part of the value of the course to them.
Hope this helps!
