This magical human is 22 today.
Oh, my. Time, you so crazy.
Right now, 22 years ago, I was staring at an IV in my arm, waiting for that Pitocin to kick in so we could get this show on the road.
And seriously, what a glorious show it has been and continues to be.
My girlie is spring breaking on the Gulf of Mexico and will be home to celebrate this coming weekend.
Happy birthday, Aidan! We love your guts!

This was awesome. Your long-term commitment to your craft shines it’s brightest right.at.this.moment. I was always ‘intending’ to get my scrapbooking act together.
YOU did.
And man, what a legacy for your family and for you.
Happy birthday Aidan! You are one lucky woman to have been born a Zielske!

Yeah, I’ve been at it for a long time, but… I am not prolific. I have definitely picked and chosen the stories I want to tell over the years. Mostly because I don’t have the space for more albums! 😉

Cathy!
These are so priceless! My eyes filled with tears, it’s so true, you turn around and they are waving, bye Mom!
What a exciting future she has in front of her….and a stranger will be cheering her on (in the NON creepy way!! Haha)
Happy Birthday Aiden!!!
Cathy Zielske says
She knows she has grown up a bit in the public eye in a sense. She always appreciates the well wishes!

Cathy, your writing and design skills shine so brightly with these layouts of Aidan. So much heart. Happy Birthday, Aidan.
Cathy Zielske says
Those are the two things that have kept me loving this hobby. Writing and design. 🙂 OH, and photos. Always photos.

Wow, Cathy. What a precious legacy of love you have given Aidan. And she has given you, too. Your humor shines through, too, and your design skills are amazing.
Awesome!
Cathy Zielske says
Thanks, Susan! I’m grateful to have her for a daughter. And, so lucky to be able to apply my design skills to a hobby I truly love.

I have saved Aiden’s own words from one of the blogs where she filled in for you. The one where she was changing colleges, I believe, and her words inspired me. I can’t lay my hands on them at this moment, but I periodically run across them and think to myself “that young lady is going places”. The gist was no one knows what is in someone else’s life. I’m going to have to find it. Regardless she is awesome, as are you. I come from a special and loving family, and I would love to be thought of as “Magical”. Pretty great description.
Cathy Zielske says
aw man, now I’m going to have to go find that post. I loved when she wrote it!

I feel old now. I remember all of the scrapbook pages and photos of her growing up through Simple Scrapbooks Magazine, CK and your blog.
Our son is turning 21 in June. Graduates Culinary Arts School in May. Enlisting in the USCG to continue his culinary training.
Ack!
When did our kiddos grow up? I still our son as a kindergartener!!!!

Time flies!

Awww. Had not read this in a while! Thank you!

I’ve enjoyed watching your girl grow up through your pages! I have a similar page from about 16 years ago with ‘all the names’ we called the baby…and I think I used vellum on it, too?
Cathy Zielske says
I think I copied the idea from my bff, Tara Whitney, who had made a page like that and posted it online!

the stories of you scrapbook pages have been the hardest for me to create in my own SB pages. That being said, my grandkids love the story part the best of all my pages. Thank you for being an inspiration.
