Today I’m happy to be guest designing for Heffy Doodle using one of their charming new spring collections, Hello Squeak Heart. Cute, punny and above all, right in my wheelhouse (no pun intended) for simple stamping and Copic coloring because hey! I can do gray markers, people!
I knew I wanted to do a little scene with three punched out circle windows for my little mice friends. I was inspired by the one and only Laura Bassen and this card she did. Granted, she is a true ink blending Yoda and I’m but a mere infant in comparison to her mind-blowing greatness… but I digress…
See that cheese there? I only used one marker on it. Yep. Who says you have to blend many colors to achieve shading? Not I, my friends. (Plus, I didn’t have the right yellow to add to it, so I just went over the area I wanted to be darker with the same color. Those alcohol markers, I tell ya—magic!
The mice in the set have coordinating dies that cut out their little paws so they can hold stuff. Like CHEESE! Oh for cute!
Okay, enough of my yakking… here’s my process video for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks so much for watching! And thanks to Heffy Doodle for inviting me to play with their charming stamps and dies!

Cute card! Thanks for the alignment tip using the MISTI. Maybe now I can stop having to shave cards to match the card fronts!

I tell ya! It has saved me many a session with Undu, trying to remove my card panel and line it back up! (Which almost never works!)
