Ah, another month in my year-long memory keeping project is done! Not sure what took my so long to sit down and do it, but yesterday I just hammered it out to get ‘er done. It really only takes me about an hour and a half to do, but sometimes it’s just setting aside the time, you know? Story of my scrapbooking life! Let’s get into it.
PHOTOS TAKEN: 120 (after editing out so many that will never see the light of day!)
PHOTOS USED: 26
As always, my title page is a mix of color and black and white images. I also try to include the entire family in some fashion on the first page of each month.
I rely on many Snapchats sent to me by my girl, or images found online, like the shot of her ultimate team who competed down in Texas in March. Let’s hear it for high resolution camera uploads to Facebook!
One image is blurred for privacy, related to my son. It’s a shot about how he was feeling about his final conference at high school. Good times, indeed. I also include screen grabs of texts that are exchanged in my family (the one above made me think, ‘really, Siri? THAT is what you think I was saying?’), and I also include shots from my crafty/work life. I would assume as Cole moves onto college next year, I’ll be including much more of that sort of thing. Somehow, I’m not sure if Cole will be friending me on SnapChat.
And the final recap page. That image at the top left comes from my Instagram story. I really had to get creative with my images this month, but in the end, it’s a snapshot of our lives and that is exactly what I want from this wonderful project!
