With the high school ultimate season (and high school, in general!) over, I find myself in need of two thank you cards for the awesome coaches who headed up our school’s program for the past two years.

And the kicker? The team name? The Great River Stars.

Guess who had a die for that? Um, yes. Me. I do. Because card making.

We’re having an end-of-the-season all-team party next week to celebrate and I will have cards (and gift cards!) in hand for the coaches.

I had seen this video from the amazing Laura Bassen, and thought: HEY! I have the Star Stream die! And it got my wheels a-turnin’, thinking that it could be cool to add gold embossing powder to the little stars on this delicate little die cut.

Challenge ON!

Here is my video showing you how I created this simple card.

Thanks so much for watching today and stopping by!

Cathy, the versa marker also works if you need to add touch ups to an embossed piece or to create embossed lines on a project.

Love the simple design of this card! Frankly, I didn’t think I needed the star stream die because I wasn’t sure what I would do with it. Thanks to your card, that die is going on my wish list as I now have all sorts of ideas floating around in my head, including an idea for my next set of Veteran’s Day cards. Thanks for the inspiration!
