Today’s card is all about getting more confident with my Copic marker coloring and starting to learn how to use my Sandy Allnock Hex Chart. (All card supplies listed at the end of this post!)
I purchased this printable chart right after buying my first Copic markers, but I didn’t really understand it in terms of how it can help you choose colors that might go together. Sandy has a video here you can watch to learn more about it!
But for this card, I used the chart and picked colors to try out and whaddya know? They worked!
Another thing I did for this card was to use an embossing folder to create a tone on tone texture for my card background. You could use any embossing folder and get a similar look. I trimmed it down a bit so the white card base would show through with about a 1/4 of an inch on all sides.
Here’s a video showing you how I put this card together.
Thanks so much for watching! All supplies linked below.

So cute!! I also like the chart – I think I need one. I’ve been looking for something like this for copic and for my Tim Holtz ink.

Love this card. I have a request, please, if you haven’t already done it. Will you do a video or series of videos on the tools/paper/inks/adhesives you currently like the best? I know you have the list with each card, but if I get a wild hare one day and decide I’m going to buy a pair of tweezers like you used making this card, I won’t remember where I saw it. Now you may use them in every video, but I’m often taking a few minutes at work to watch, so don’t look at the notes/list. But, if there were one video for your favorite tools…. So, I know it’s a lot of work, but I’d love to use your affiliate links if I’m purchasing something you have used in a video.
