My quest to practice more coloring in 2019 continues with today’s simple card project, featuring a bit of Copic coloring and simple ink blending using a darling new mini stamp set from Gina K. Designs called All You Need Is Love.
Mini sets are really fun because a) the price points are terrific, and b) they generally have smaller, less intimidating images to color. I am still a bit tentative when choosing and using Copic markers, but I know that the more I play and practice, very likely, the easier it will become. At least that’s my goal!
I also love any opportunity to use my Radiating Rays Stencil from My Favorite Things. I feel like it makes any ink blending look good, even if you’re only using a single color like I am on this card project.
In today’s video, I’ll also share a quick method to making a matching square envelope, which I learned from watching Gina K. herself in action. If you have never checked out her channel, please do! She is such a wonderful instructor. I truly adore that woman!
Here’s my video showing you how I created this card:
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I’ll see you back here again with another project soon.

Cathy, I know you mentioned in your instastories that you were working on getting your audio just right in your videos. I have to tell you how soothing this card video was to me. Perfect tone, speed and the video was just the right length. I typically follow your blog and thru Instagram, but I think I need to dive into the youtube channel! Thank you!
Cathy Zielske says
Oh thank you so much for that feedback. I’m working to make sure it is good to listen to!
Diane Dupont says
SOOO cute!!! I make a list of “wants” as I watch your videos. It’s getting quite long! ?
Cathy Zielske says
Lol. I’m sorry. I know how that is. Every time I watch one of Gina’s videos, or Kristina Werner, or Jennifer McGuire… I want what they are using.
Gina says
OMGoodness this is the cutest thing I have seen! Love you!

Thanks for sharing! I’m going to start using some smaller images too for my copic learning curve. I also learned the best way to use the sun ray stencil I have from you. Don’t you just LOVE the PFStamps brushes (I do!).
Cathy Zielske says
Yes, do! And yeah, those brushes are really amazing.

Loved the simplicity of this card and the encouragement to go simple and try a new skill. Your card is beautiful! That envelope tip too – brilliant!
Cathy Zielske says
Simple can make the hardest techniques less scary, I think!
Laurie Brown says
Sweet card!!! Love the little birds especially because they are a yellow green-tends to be my go to color also.
Cathy Zielske says
Thanks for stopping by, Laurie!

How cute and simple you make it look. I’m not so good at the color blending . Still a little intimidating. Maybe someday. Ha!
Cathy Zielske says
Thanks, Carolyn! Believe me, that is me at present, too! I did do a practice card first to make sure it would work! I pretty much always do!
