Celebrate Women with Simon Says Stamp!

Today I’m honored to be part of a special blog hop from Simon Says Stamp all about celebrating the incredible women in your life.

Nothing warms this crafter’s heart more than seeing women (and men) supporting other women!

The hop features two brand new stamp sets, Good Job Mama (designed by me!) and Incredible Woman (designed by the talented Nina-Marie Trapani).

Good Job Mama is the result of a collaboration with one of my crafty mentors, Jennifer McGuire. Jennifer and I worked together to come up with the concept behind the set. We both wanted to offer a set that women could use to create realistic cards of support for their fellow mamas out there. Motherhood is many things ranging from ridiculously awesome to extremely challenging, and everything in between. This new stamp set is about offering acknowledgment to your fellow mamas out there. Sometimes simply being seen and acknowledged in a real way by someone who loves you can really lift you up. At least that’s been my experience in life.

Here is my first video I’m sharing today featuring my card project. I’m doing something a little different with my voice over, only in that I’m talking less about the process and more about some of the women I want to celebrate and thank today!

For my second card, I used the Incredible Woman stamp set designed by Nina-Marie.

This 6 x 8 set is so wonderful! All the words intersecting with the focus of each sentiment…I love it!

    These stamp sets feel so genuine and authentic in expressing what strong women do in our lives. There is self doubt and struggle, it’s real but doesn’t make you any less of an amazing mom/role model. Love these colorful cards to complement the meaningful sentiments.

    Thank you for designing the “Good Job, Mama” set. Since you are a resident of Minnesota, you are probably aware of Early Childhood Family Education. I am a parent educator and hear what mothers feel and fear every day. I bought this set so that I can give stressed-out mamas some confidence or commiseration that they can hold on to after they leave my classroom.

    Oh Freaking Wow!! Just watched your video and every woman you mentioned except for one are all the women’s blog I subscribe to and watch and are my most favorite card maker’s EVER!! And I’m going to go back and check on that one I didn’t recognize. Laura Bassen is my favorite person to watch and she does truly mention you all the time and pronounces your name with true adoration!! I have ordered your awesome Good Job Mama stamp set…it has the most realistic sentiments and I am going to use it to send/make cards for all moms but especially my two daughters and daughter in law who are struggling in this world raising many children…my twelve grandchildren so far!! You’re da best!!
