Today I’m part of a special 3-day blog hop celebrating Hero Arts’ 45 years in the creative industry.

45 years. That doesn’t happen lightly in any industry, especially one built around crafting, small businesses and people seeking a creative outlet and the urge to create handmade things. Truly amazing.

Hero Arts is also celebrating the release of their Summer Catalog, as well!

This blog hop is all about celebrating creativity and fun and, oh yeah, AMAZING sponsor prizes. First, my card project:

I decided to create a birthday card featuring a gorgeous (and HUGE!) script-y birthday die, along with a circle confetti die I used to create my own stencil.

I have been on a bit of an oooh, shiny! kick of late and for this card project, I created my own paper stencil (learned how to do that from Jennifer McGuire!) and applied Deco Foil Transfer Gel + a gorgeous Summer Rainbow Deco Foil to create that fun, colorful, dotted background.

I die cut that ginormous birthday greeting from some glitter cardstock that was mounted onto some Fun Foam for a little extra dimension. Here is the video showing you how I created this card project:

    This card is so cute! Love all the colors and the sparkle, along with the simple details like rounding the corners of the focal piece. Such an easy thing to do that sets it aoart! Love what you said about Stick It…that you have it and you’re not afraid to use it, haha!! I will take that as good advice!

    Absolutely fell in love with this card the second I saw it. Is there any other way to add foil besides with laminator? Love foil projects, but no laminator, and don’t think I’ll be obtaining one in the near future. But I just have to make this card somehow. Amazing job!
