Welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh new release blog hop! Hopefully you have arrived here from Caly’s blog and if this is your first time visiting my blog, welcome!
My card project todays features simple Copic coloring and simple ink blending and features both the Tropical Birds stamps and coordinating dies, as well as the gorgeous Tropical Background Stencil.
I also did a more simplified version of this card project:
I honestly like them both, but probably would go with the simpler version. You can’t see it in the photo, but I added Tonic Aqua Nuvo Shimmer to the flamingo for a little pop of shine.
Here’s the video showing you how I made the first card above:
I also made this shaker card using the same stencil and the brand new Aloha Shaker Die:
I just blended six Gina K.inks over the stencil to create the background, and die cut the Aloha Shaker from the panel. Then I laid in one white Aloha to create my shaker window, and die cut three more to glue together and add to the top for some dimension. (See separate list below for my Aloha shaker card supplies.)

Cathy, your cards a just lovely. I love the pink and green together and who doesn’t love a good rainbow-ish blend. :). I have had copics for over 6 months and haven’t even cracked them open because I’m totally intimidated by what I see others do with them. Your flamingo cards looks like something I could maybe try. I also went crazy a few months ago and bought almost every color combo of PPP sequins (just got those organized this week with labels on them). I love their products – they finish cards off so beautifully. Thanks again for the inspiration! Hugs and blessings on your day!
Lauryne Cunningham says

Lisa Reber says
Beautiful cards, I am in love with this entire release!
SarahC says
Love the cards. That pop of punk on the edge really sets it off. Don’t know if you realize on the “pick me up” the bottom comes out and you have another pokey to help placing sequins, jewels etc. Owed mine for over a year before I realized that.
Tricia A Podmore says
Cathy, both cards are gorgeous. I really like your layered card, but I am partial to the shaker cards. I love thay shaker die which makes it a must have in my stash. Your Flamingo was so beautiful and even though I am an old crafter, those Copics scare me to death every time I touch them to paper Haha!
