Simple Alcohol Ink Coloring featuring a Hero Arts & Pinkfresh Studio Collaboration

Welcome to my stop along the blog hop celebrating Hero Arts and their 45 years in the crafting industry! Today, Hero Arts has teamed up with Pinkfresh Studio and collaborated on a lovely new encouragement stamp set called You Make a Difference.

I’m really happy with how my card project turned out and I did some really simple coloring with some new-to-me markers, Everblend Art Markers, an alcohol marker line from Arteza with a fantastic price point when compared to Copic markers. (Also, you can save 10% on all Arteza products until September 25 using the code CathyZielske2.) The thing that is so great about them? They come with a pointy, bullet tip as opposed to a brush tip. I really struggle with the brush tips on Copic markers. I know you can swap the nips out, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easy these Everblend markers were to use. I have the 120-marker set, but they also have a 60-marker set which would be great to try out if you’re looking for affordable alcohol markers.

    Cathy, check out Chameleon pens (https://www.chameleonartproducts.com/blog), too. They are incredible! I have several sets & just yesterday received the newest—Fineliners. It’s amazing how they achieve the same results as Copics, only you can do with ONE pen what it takes Copics three pens. They also cost less than Copics (but are pricier than some). The results are fantastic. Sometimes you can get them at Hobby Lobby with 40% off coupon, but so far you have to order the Fineliners from Chameleons—I got in on the first ones.

    Beautiful card and coloring! I love these sentiments! I have the 60 set of Everblends, them shortly after they added 60 colors… that you can’t order separately. Figures, right? ?‍♀️ Ha! But more affordable than Copics! I’m not that good yet anyway!! ?

    Thanks for filling us in with all the wonderful tips and techniques as you created this beautiful card. I don’t own the Copics, but these markers from Arteza might be some for me to check out. Having accumulated lots of coloring options over the years, I thought the Copics might just be taking it over the top! LOL!! This is a beautiful stamp set from this collaboration between Hero Arts and Pinkfresh Studio and it’s exciting and a great tribute that other companies honor Hero Arts in this way!

    Well, even though I have umpteen stamps that I haven’t even used yet, your card made this Pinkfresh stamp irresistible. Well, I resisted for maybe 24 hours, but then couldn’t any longer. I used the affiliate link through your video, so hope that worked for you. I bought other things while there (which I wouldn’t have if your card hadn’t influenced me), so I hope there’s some way you get credit for that too. 🙂
