Dry embossing with a stencil (A Simon Says Stamp Cheer and Joy Blog Hop)

Today I’m happy to be sharing a clean and simple card project as part of the Cheer and Joy blog hop for Simon Says Stamp! And today’s card features a simple stencil and a bit of dry embossing, which is a fun way to get more use from a stencil.

The new Snowflakes stencil is full of wonderful snowflakes, just waiting to find their way onto your next project but one of my favorite ways to use a stencil is to run it through my die cut machine with my embossing pad to create an embossed image on my cardstock.

This is a card that looks so much better in person! I couldn’t get a great photo of the white on white. Maybe mama needs to retire her old camera body and hook up with a new one? We shall see!

    Thank you for revisiting that technique where you can dry emboss with the stencils. So often we buy the stencils and only use them as stencils and this gives me more ways to utilize them.
