Welcome to DieCember® my wafer thin die loving friends! It’s that merry month of the year when Simon Says Stamp releases all manner of wonderful dies and today I’m sharing one of the newest ones in my CZ Design collection: the Proud of You Word & Shadow set.
This die set is part of my series featuring a wonderful slab serif, lower case type style and I think it would be perfect for any occasion to celebrate a loved one or a friend’s accomplishments.
This card features a colorful Distress Oxide background and a shimmery design using a stencil and some glimmer paste. Here is the video tutorial showing you how I created the project:
I also have one more die set out this month, the all-purpose Thank You:
I love these lower case word and shadow combos! They would be a wonderful addition to any card makers collection!

I think I’ve developed cyber carpal tunnel after watching you blend the inks on video! lol You know I’m joking! Loving your new dies – clean and simple beauty, Cathy!

I always enjoy your videos Cathy, and your clean and simple designs. they are straightforward and easy to do and knowing what colours etc you use makes such a difference. I love the shadow dies, is there any chance you would do this design in the Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas, or just Happy or Merry on their own which are pretty much the only dies I use on my card fronts? thanks xx

Forgot…….you made me laugh. Your picture with the caption saying that you never know what to do with your hands, just cracked me up. You’re so funny.

Shirley! It just so happens we are having a Simon planning meeting for our next release (Easter/Spring) and I can add those requests and see if I can get them approved. Sound good?
Cathy Zielske says
Lol. I’m actually having some wrist issues, which have plagued me for years! I hope it’s not translating through the video.
