Hey Bestie Blog Hop (Simon Says Stamp!)

Cathy ZielskeCards, Tutorials221 Comments

It’s blog hop day for the brand new Hey Bestie release from Simon Says Stamp! Today I have fun floral-y stencil card project featuring a word and shadow die and a cool, pre-printed sentiment strip!

I used the Peony Bouquet Stencil and a few dye inks to create this simple background, and then topped it with my Miss You word/shadow die combo and one of my Reverse Sentiment Strips.

If you struggle with heat embossing small sentiments on black card stock, these sentiments strips are really fun to work with. Here is a video showing you how I created this card project:

Now onto the blog hop details! First up, the blog hop special promotion:

I love the stenciled flowers! When I first looked at the photos I thought it was some sort of cool stamping effect. 🙂

Side note: LinkDeli doesn’t take me to any of the websites. I’m just taken to a blank LinkDeli page with a tab at the top that says “LinkDeli| View”. I’m using Chrome on a Windows 10 PC.

I find this card peaceful. I think the peonies – so bold but soft and dainty, in a way – with the crisp, clean white border is refreshing. The green jellybean leaves seem minty, which adds to the refreshing and peaceful feel. Very nice!

Your stenciled peonies are gorgeous. You make me feel like I could almost do this (but I am still a little nervous). I have to tell you how fantastic all your contributions to the Bestie release are. I mean ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGLY OVER THE TOP!! My favorite is what you’ve done with your map and all those perfect sentiments. I’m in NJ and I have a dear friend in Montana and I could be making all kinds of cards for her. That set is definitely where my Blog Hop winnings would go. No question!
