Today I’m sharing my first ever 5 x 7 card project, something I just hadn’t tried yet since beginning the whole card thing back in 2017.
The reason today? Because I have a big old unicorn die and I thought it was time to go big or go home! Plus, I just got my hands on the new Mini Media Mat from Waffle Flower Crafts and wanted to try it out.
This small mat is the perfect palette for all kinds of crafty play. It reminds me a bit of my palette from Art Impressions, in terms of size, and yet this has a raised edge to keep all of your crafty mediums in place and off of your work surface.
Here is my video tutorial featuring the mat and how I created my big unicorn card:
I may have overdone the shine a bit… no, strike that! You can never overdo shine where unicorns are involved.
I love that you can tuck something into the unicorn’s “hands,” plus, you can death as much of this die to create whatever type of custom look you want with various cardstocks or patterned papers!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!

That unicorn is ADORABLE!!! It’s kind of one of those things where it is so cute that I think I want it… but that I don’t know who I would send the card to. 🙂 (Or maybe I just need someone to send me a card made with it.) I do think the mini media mat is something I could use. While I do have craft room, I don’t seem to have a lot of space to store things when they aren’t being used. (I think I need a trip to IKEA as my idea of using cloth storage baskets isn’t really working out for me.)
