I recently decided to try a new kind of video on my YouTube channel. The idea? Film the live process of starting with a new stamp set and creating a card project from scratch.
I don’t know if you know this, but I never work that way. For 95% of the videos on my channel, I will make a card first, THEN film the video once I know that the card works. Following that, I edit the heck out of it to keep the running time to about 10 minutes or less.
That’s just how I’ve done it.
For this series, I wanted to walk you through the thought processes and the decisions I make when I create. I am not a technique queen! For that, we all can turn to Jennifer McGuire or Kristina Werner. But I am good at talking about design and why I make the choices I make.
I shared my first video last week on my channel. True story however: I thought I had never used these stamps. Turns out I did. Two years ago. Never say middle aged Mamas have it all going on at any given time.
The first time I used them? This video. Sigh. I promise next time, they will have never been taken out of the package!
IRREGARDLESS, [ said in my best Boston accent ], I present the first edition of the series.
Note: this is a longer format video. I do edit for time to trim down some of the processes, but it’s not mean to be a quick in and out.
Thanks for stopping by!
