Repeat your designs! (Part of a Holly Jolly Blog Hop for Simon Says Stamp!)

Repeat your designs! (Part of a Holly Jolly Blog Hop for Simon Says Stamp!)

Do you ever repeat a card design? The card I’m sharing today is a great example of why I do, because a solid design can transform with different products every time!

The card I’m sharing today features a new die set from me, Chunky Trees and Holly, but the design is essentially a lift of a card I did a few weeks ago with a stamp set featuring the same tree designs.

The funny thing isโ€ฆ when I started creating the card I’m sharing today, it didn’t occur to me until it was done that it was the same design. I think it’s perfectly okay to repeat designs! Plus, today’s card features some fun chunky glitter and foiling of sentiment strips. Here’s how I made this recycled design:

Today’s post is part of a blog hop to celebrate our new Holly Jolly release! Here are some fun details about the hop:

How fun is that? A Mini Speckled Egg Distress ink as a gift with purchase while supplies last! Don’t forget to use the code SPGKN7 at checkout to get the ink cube!

HOP DETAILS: Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 gift certificate at every stop along the hop! Simply leave a comment on every post for a shot at winning! Winners will be announced on the Simon blog on Wednesday, November 11. You must contact Simon to claim the prize!

Love that beautiful, clean card and love those trees! Like you, I’ve had an issue with glitter on cards, but the chunky glitter looks amazing — I may have to give it a try. That foil sentiment strip really makes things pop.

This project lends itself so well to mass production. Thanks for showing different ways to do the final steps. (Of course you might go batty during the gluing-layers-of-trees phase.) Still, recipients would totally be bowled over, so it’s worth it!
