Have you played with brayers yet? This is a pretty new tool to me as in, I only used one for the first time in 2020 and now my good friend Tim Holtz has designed a very cool new set of Distress Brayers.

Today I’m creating simple encouragement card that also features a new 6 x 8 stamp that I recently bought called Forest Scenery, which I think has multi-seasonal applications!

Here is the video tutorial on my YouTube channel:
If you haven’t played with a brayer, it’s a fun way to get inky with your projects!

Love it. The Versafine Clair seems to make a very smooth image. Can’t wait to receive my gel press so I can play, too.

Love the card. What is the difference between the brayer you use on the gel press vs the brayer you use for your directly to card stock cards? Could you use the same brayer? I am looking to purchase one. Thanks!

I’m not 100% sure how to answer but… the short answer is yes! You can use it for gel press or paper—whatever! Tim designed it to be a bit softer of a rubber (it doesn’t feel super squishy, so don’t worry about that!) but it would work with any paper. That’s really what he designed it for!
