I recently shared a video wherein I made the same mistake twice and then had to change direction a bit to reach the finish line. So many of you who watch my channel gave me fantastic tips but the number one thread in many of them: the words ” Jennifer McGuire did… [insert technique here].”
You may or may not know this, but I have known Jennifer since, oh… around 2002, when she and I were both inducted into the Creative Keepsakes Hall of Fame. Back then she was a young, crafty ingenue and I was a women in her mid 30s just discovering crafting in a way that would stick.

Once Jennifer left scrapbooking, she would occasionally mention that I should come over to the card side. I remember thinking, “You are SO sweet!”
Suffice to say, I have admired her crafty brain and kind heart for years, but once I started making cards in 2017, you have no idea how many hours I spent watching her channel and having ah-ha moments left and right. I literally have her bookmarked under Frequently Shared Links on my computer.
The woman is unreal in how many ideas she has shared over the years!
So when I wanted to figure out better ways of using embossing folders, well… you know the saying: WWJD? (What Would Jennifer Do?)

I went to her channel, searched what I was looking for, and found this video:
As soon as I saw it, I had to stop, drop and create.
I think that is what most people experience when watching her channel. She offers SO many ideas, tips and examples in every video. Again, Jennifer, you are an amazing creator!
Thanks to Jennifer, I learned a new technique that I will share in this video:
I hope you spend hours today at Jennifer’s channel. Trust me: it’s not hard to do!
I also want to personally thank Jennifer for the kindness and support she has shown me since I dipped not just my foot, but my whole body into the card making pool. Jennifer embodies the spirit of how when we share what we know with others in the community, then all boats rise. Love you, Jennifer!

What a lovely tribute to JM and to you as well, for having the kindness and willingness to share your talents and creativity. I follow you both, as well Laura Bassen (who makes me smile while learning) and others, and I gain new insight with every video I watch. Thanks to all of you who share your time and energy to help teach and inspire us all!

I agree. Jennifer is a marvel. I send out bunches of cards each month to others home bound like myself, and it easy to come up with ideas after watching Jennifer’s videos. Not to say that I don’t watch yours too and several others. But for “mass making” card ideas, Jennifer is the best. Love that hugs die BTW. thanks as always for sharing.

Hi, CZ –
I always marvel (and almost always comment to this effect) on Jennifer’s site and below her videos that she just has SUCH ingenuity. I’ve never seen anyone just come up w/ ideas as she does.
Your cards turned out great. Thanks for reminding me to check Jennifer’s videos (I think I would, but a reminder never hurts).
Take it easy, lady! Have a great week!
