Today I wanted to share a printable poster for any of my much loved and respected teachers who believe in literature and celebrating reading.
My husband requested this for his 5th/6th grade classroom as part of a project to celebrate reading. The students will be reading books and then printing out book covers of those books to put all around the poster on their classroom door.
This is not a time to pull long standing classics from our student’s hands. So if you are a teacher, please feel free to download the printable. And thank you!
TO DOWNLOAD: Click on the Printable Poster Graphic above. If you are using Chrome and have an issue, try another browser. The file should automatically unzip and will be found in your Downloads folder.

Fabulous idea! I love that Dan is doing this and you are sharing this poster as a resource to allow other teachers to take on similar projects in their classrooms. Teachers are an important part of the change that’s needed. Thank you to Dan and all other teachers who are doing the right thing!

He is the kind of teacher I would have loved to have! In fact, my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Heidman, WAS that kind of teacher who inspired me to love writing. He passed away a few years back but i managed to send him a thank you letter a year or so before to thank him for showing me I was creative!

Very cool! I would share it with my daughter but she teaches 1st graders who also happen to be primarily EL students. But I may think of someone else to give it to! Thank you!

Hi Cathy,
I love this! Can you make another one that says Home? That way many of us who are empty-nesters, or anyone else who wants to show support of expanding our minds by reading, can put one in our windows, yards, doors, cars, etc.
Thank you, and much thanks to your husband for teaching tomorrow’s leaders.
