If you spend any time over on the Instagram, you’ll know that Reels are all the rage now.
They say if you want to grow your Instagram (and trust me, most small businesses like me, do!), that you need to get into the Reels game.
And even though I know I do, and I’m trying to do a bit more with it, (click here to see my Reels collection!) I’m still a sucker for a good old fashioned YouTube tutorial!
I mean, yes, Reels have a place. Right?

But I think I enjoy the longer form of YouTube videos!
What about you?
Here is the long format, newly filmed version of the Reel I shared a few days back:
I think short and long form video serves multi purposes! But I like to have more time to teach than just show. Call me old school! I’m okay with it.
Thanks for weighing in and stopping by!

I prefer you tube videos. I’m not an Instagrammer and don’t like the impersonal approach of reels.
I enjoy your personal touch on your You Tube Channel
I love your humor!

Great card! Thanks for demonstration some of those new products. Liked the tape and the powder tool from T.E. I have that stamp set and plan to make a card soon. Thanks for showing us the tips and techniques in this video.

The reels are fine, but I tend to look at them when I’m killing time here and there. I’m more apt to purchase product when I watch a video.

You tube all the way. It keeps me plenty busy. Haven’t felt the need to go to “the instagram”. Lol

You tube. I like the longer version, if I want shorter I can change the replay rate. Besides I personally find it hard to find things in the reels or refer back to them at a future date. Much easier to search and find in YouTube. I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t even watch the reels except for one or two folks, too overwhelming and really not enough information/instruction. Maybe it’s an age thing? Anyway, that’s how I feel about it.

I prefer YouTube videos. I rarely go to Instagram as there are SOOOOO many ads now. I’m also not on Snap Chat or TikTok or Twitter. Blech.
If I need to speed up a video, I can just grab the little doohickey and drag it over to the right. 😉

YouTube for me. The snack-sized Reels (or TikTok videos) are often too fast/frenetic for me. Crafting (and learning about crafting) is a more Zen activity for me.
