Cathy Makes a Card Live: the results of my most recent live featuring Tim Holtz products!

For my second YouTube live of the year, I’m playing with some VERY fun products from my friend, Tim Holtz. Even though half the live was spend putting foam squares on the letters, the reveal is worth it! Or at least that is the story I’m going with!

    I watch the live and really enjoyed your process of creating the card. I know applying foamstrip pieces of to the letters was a pain in the a$$, but I think it was well worth it!

    Hi Cathy, I watched most of the live but somewhere in the middle (after I made a comment about a train wreck when I wasn’t prepared to buy Tim’s product when he introduces it), there was an actual train wreck right behind my house! House shook, lots of black smoke. Seems there was some miscommunication and an express train hit a construction truck working on electrifying the tracks. Some dicey moments but now there just cleaning it up. No trains coming through here for a while though. I came back at the end of the live but I’d missed the part about posting on your blog so I posted on Instagram. I went back to see what I missed and saw about posting here. Great card. I waiting with baited breath for my switch. Hopefully, it will be here soon.

    Great card! Would it have been less fiddly to multiple die cut and stack the letters for dimension? You are pretty good at that. Thanks for the time and inspiration.

    I tried leaving this comment on YouTube, but it wouldn’t let me. Anyways, I love all of your cards, but this one rocks! I love the colors! I liked the unblinged card so much that I was apprehensive when you started booping, but the bling REALLY did bring the card together. It was amazing to me that simple, well placed sequins can make such a difference. Thank you for sharing your inspiration!

    Watched the live, loved that fact that you took your time with the foam pads and didn’t get flustered, we all have to go through this as crafters we can’t make a card by snapping our fingers it takes time. Thanks Cathy loved it

    I love this card- and that stamp set! I know it will end up in my SSS basket!
    I have been using the Switch for a little over a month now, so far so good! I randomly got the only one at our Hobby Lobby, it’s a pretty melon color, love that it can use the smaller cutting pads as well as the size it comes with.

    I love the way you added the letters for the sentiment it is something I have never tried but now I think I can do it also. Thank you for your videos. I am a scrapbooked who has turned to cardmaking.
