Today I’m sharing a fun way to use a huge floral image in a very simple way: stamp and emboss in white for some cool background texture!

Top it with a fun greeting and you’re good to go!
Also, did you catch that little ruler in the photo?
I am SUPER stoked about this new 6-inch ruler from Simon Says Stamp. Designed with cardmakers in mind, this will help you get things lined up on your card projects. It also has a really substantial lip so you can butt it up against the edge of your card with ease, even if you have some dimension on the card project.
A few years back, I had said to the Simon powers that be… “You know what would be great? A card sized t-square!” Not that I’m taking credit for the idea! Lol! T-squares are out there but I am LOVING the design of this one.
Here is my video showing you how I created the card:

Beautiful!! I think I’ll attempt the stamping on vellum this weekend. 🙂 I bought the small t-ruler set from My Sweet Petunia and absolutely LOVE them. Prior to having the smaller ones, I contemplated having my hubs cut down one of my bigger ones. It was such a pain to have to clean off my desk almost completely just so I could use the darn thing without getting it caught on other stuff. I had just placed an order yesterday (or maybe the day before) from SSS and got the ink spot holder. While my mom made me a wood one similar to The Ink Spot’s, it so BIG. I love that the SSS holder is silicone, lightweight, and will be much easier to take with me.

Just lovely and what a great idea for those big stamps that you sometimes have a hard time figuring out what to do with them after you make the first card. Thank you.
