A fun way to keep your cardmaking card scraps (and card panels!) organized using an IKEA Variera small bin

A fun way to keep your cardmaking card scraps (and card panels!) organized using an IKEA Variera small bin

I am moving out of the craft/dining room and fully into my upstairs office, which is now my new studio and part of the fun is rethinking storage options. One of my favorite new set ups? This Ikea Variera Bin for cardstock scraps and plain white US A2 card panels.

I was showing this off on a recent livestream, and my viewers asked for printables to make their own scrap bins!

You know me, I like to share so here they are for your printing pleasure. Just click on the image below to begin the download. The packed is a zipped file and contains a multi page PDF in 8.5 x 11. I have also included an A4 sheet for my international friends, though the instructions are in inches.

When printing the PDFs, be sure to choose ACTUAL SIZE as the print out option.

If the image above does not work, click here to start the download. The PDFs will appear in your Downloads folder, and may or may not have to be unzipped!

I have included printables for color scraps, as well as for Neenah Solar White Classic Crest in both 80- and 100-pound weights, and also Gina K. Designs white in her heavy base weight and layering weights. Those are the panels I use the most, and I know many cardmakers do, as well!

The small Variera bin also fits perfectly into my new Kallax 2-Drawer Insert Units.

As soon as my studio is completely finished and organized, I’ll be creating a tour to share on my YouTube channel! Although we can’t say goodbye to the craft/dining room completely! I literally do not have enough space right now to move ALL of my stamp storage up into this small room.

However, there IS a rather lengthy closet that I am going to attempt to commandeer at some point next year. We just have to figure out where to move the hubby’s things that are currently in that space.

Enjoy the download!

Always fun to see how another craft artist organized their supplies. Love the idea to store scraps more efficiently!

Just double checking – are you sure it’s the Variera bin or the Pluggis bin? The Pluggis bin looks big but it looks like the one you’re using. Thank you for the download!
