
Today I’m doing something I don’t think I’ve done before: paint an entire background using Distress Ink Reinkers. I may have used one somewhere along the way, but never reinkers only as my source of color. And I LOVED doing it.

The key to making it work is to use analogous color, meaning, colors that follow one another directly on the color wheel. I’m going from green, to blue to purple, and mixing and matching a tiny bit as I go. But I never overlap green and purple. That would not look quite as seamless.

It’s been so long since I painted a background like that and I need to do more. You don’t have to be super fancy to make one that is bright and fun!
