It’s kit unboxing day and I’m sharing five fun cards using the brand new May 2023 card kit from Simon Says Stamp, Best Year Yet. The kit is a packed, happy birthday theme and we all know birthday cards tend to be ones we actually need to create!

Here is my unboxing video and card makes. Enjoy!
Let’s take a look at photos of each card!

I had to start out with a simple design because the Pastel Color Blend panels are SO gorgeous! It’s like the softest blend I’ve never done!

Next up, my favorite way to NOT color a stamped image!

If you don’t love to color stamped images, this technique is SO fun to do, and it looks great!

Next up, a fun way to take any stamp and make a pattern:

As you saw in the video, the dotted Glitter Pen lines was an afterthought, but I’m so glad I did it! The photos don’t show how shiny they are, but they are!

Next up, another card featuring the Large Fancy Happy Birthday die and the Color Blend cardstock.

The part that I love? The color matched spatter!

And last but not least, a simple birthday design.

SO simple, right? I did add a layer of Silver Glitter Cardstock that is not part of the kit, but… it’s a simple way to add some shiny goodness.

I kept my coloring simple but love the little shiny silver pen for the details.
